I voted like… even though I am sorry to see my lovely lady’s wings clipped.
I have to say like because the changes that her “nerf” caused to other troops were much needed changes.
It is sad to see my favorite troop, the one go-to Soul Generator disappear, but that is purely a personal reason, I am objective enough to see what is good for the game…

I went from two to three indeed, but it depends a bit on your magic stat. This under the assumption you haven’t raised the soul cap with a troop with necromancy.
(from this point on of this post when I say “you” I don’t mean Dustin :P)
I honestly don’t understand the entire “RIP valk” attitude many people have, you can (and most ppl will) keep using her, she’ll give you just as many souls per battle as before (granted, you might have to cast her 1 more time, but with many setups it happens anyway).
The one thing she will NOT give now, is free and easy access to using the new way necro trait works without having to re-make your teams. So yes the pure soul-farming teams for 30 sec explore games do take a hit, but mark my words, in no time people will have figured out the new “best” way to farm souls, and everyone will get used to it. Pvp battles with teams that include valk will still keep giving you the same souls as before (+an opportunity to complain that you don’t get the easy access to the new cap, because valk doesn’t have the necro trait anymore /cry). DS got more souls per cast, which make little difference for pvp, but should make it more viable for Explore soul farming, but that’s just my thought on the matter.
also correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Nim mentioned recently that there might be a new dragon legend with soul related trait (necromancy?) coming in the future. If that’s the case, that should pair beautifully with DS for explore farming.
In that case, what is the point of a poll like this? Anyone can dismiss any segment they like with whatever rationalization they like, but it doesn’t change the fact that a portion of the population sees the changes as positive.
For the record, I am in the “slightly negative” camp, as I was hoping to see options increase and net soul gain remain constant; options have increased, but soul gain has decreased somewhat for the primary soul generator. I am personally in the “too rich for souls” bucket but I know that I’d be a bit disappointed with this change if I still needed them.
@Sirrian’a graph has nothing to do with my poll. His graph is about usage where as this poll is about player reaction. I 100% agree that there was an issue with game balance that caused a sharp over usage of Valkyrie but I firmly believe the devs got it dead wrong in how they attempted to fix it. In my opinion they should have done something to give more comparable (to Valk) options for the player without nerfing Valk. As it is, they’ve taken away a very strong, very effective option and replaced it with very weak, very ineffective options. That’s just a bad choice, full stop.

I’m going to vote neutral. I’ve played a few games, I don’t really see enough of a difference to care. I go through battles so fast that Valk is giving me about the same as she was before…
I actually feel fantastic about this change. Its a feeling between the one you get while eating caramel ice creams, getting your feet massaged or sniffing freshly washed laundry.
