OK. I am going to do my best to break this down as I see it.
This is by no means intended to be disrespectful.
@Robert: The devs have introduced an opportunity for an additional 75% above the soul cap of 40. Because this is a possibility, you feel the you should have the ability to acquire those souls in every match in every game mode. When you attempt to build a viable PvP team, the necromancy choices are underwhelming and have no synergy therefore you feel that you are being denied the optimal souls due to poor design choice by the development team.
@efh313: The devs have fixed an OP troop and buffed other soul generation troops to scale off of magic making them effective alternatives to the soul generation conundrum. By doing so, I am afforded the luxury of designing many more soul farming builds to use in game modes that I perceive were intended for the purposes of farming (Challenges/Explore). Meanwhile still having a great troop in Valk who will earn me bonus souls in hardcore PvP matches, albeit not at the previous broken rate.
The difference lies in the thinking that since 75% over soul cap is POSSIBLE that it should be VIABLE in all modes. And that I cannot agree with, given the nature of strategy games.
I hope this clears up the debate a bit more for everybody.
Again wrong. I don’t need 75% souls, I just need the 106 I previously got. Now I can get the 106 if I make my match last a minute or so longer. YAY it’s a win-win!
Again I get 56 souls in the same amount of time I used to get 106. So if I keep completing pvp matches at the same pass I will always get less souls. If I use their garbage troops to get more souls, my matches will take 2 minutes or so longer to complete. Not a big deal? Again if you can gain 500 trophies in the amount of time it takes me to get 250 that’s bogus. If I want to gain the same amount of souls in pvp that I used to, I should not be handicapped to earn less gold/trophies. Why should the soul gainers be nerfed when there’s people in pvp completing matches in a minute or less?
I don’t mean to speak for @Robert but I’m pretty sure that was not his point. He was responding to someone else saying you can get way more souls than before. He was simply saying (if I was reading it right) that the only way to do that was with a shit team. He wasn’t saying everyone should be able to have constant max Soul ability.
Also, I know you intend well but please stop trying to “summarize” the debate because you’ve done it twice now and both times it’s been wrong.

A shit team in PVP.
Several of the new Necro troops work just fine in Explore and get plenty of souls. You just can’t get max Gold AND max Souls anymore.
I don’t see anyone here complaining about that. Please stop trying to put words in our mouths.
So Valkyrie, to ONLY blue transformer in a game almost solely focused on OP blue troops, is now no longer viable because she generates 25% souls than she used to?
Again, if they’re not complaining about that, what are they complaining about?
Out with it already. Direwolf just said all of those previously-nerfed troops are still viable. The OBVIOUS implication is that Valkyrie suddenly is not.
Do I need to explain how utterly laughable that idea is?
Let’s see if we can get to it from another angle: why do you feel Valkyrie was nerfed? Was it because she generated too much souls OR because she was used too much?
Come on man think. The troops that you need now to get the good amount of souls now, are not viable.
Everything is viable in Explore. Literally EVERYTHING. Try again.
