New Kingdom - Bright Forest

Is it normal that Crescendo is Bright Forest’s weapon dollar pack? I’m quite sure it was already Pan’s Vale’s one…

Queen Titania seems phenomenally strong. 31 flat AOE + 32 on red GW day, + a 50% bonus for faerie fire, so ~91 damage + GW buffs vs a red team hit with faerie fire…

Yeah for me it’s 60 AOE before any red enemies if they’re all FF’d.

All for 16 mana! Power creep??

And as a bonus has good synergy with Dawnbringer… Just in case she wasn’t good enough.

Yes, she’s fun. And under-costed as hell. Devs missed a trick though by not giving her Arcane.

At home for 20 mins, played only through the storyline.

Can anyone guess which kingdom will fall apart first when the next generation ascends the throne? Protip: It’s totally Silverglade. :see_no_evil: Doomed kingdom, I tell you. Also I guess the only possible reasons that Elspeth’s and Ethoras’ father hasn’t thrown himself from the spire of his palace yet because of his children are either that he’s just as horrible as them or because they’re away from home so much. Wow.

@Saltypatra Please explain how “Hot Dude” became “Hot Dude” despite his personality being “Not So Hot, Dude”. :stuck_out_tongue:

On another note, I wish there would have been interactions between Elspeth and her brother in the storyline. I’m not sure if my brain would have survived them, but I still wish it would have happened.

Honestly, storyline was… pretty meh. I feel a lot of potential was lost there - we still don’t know why Titania wanted to keep Ethoras (is she insane?!) and I had also hoped to find out what the relationship between Titania and Mab is. Scorpius, not even being from Bright Forest, was just really… random.
Nice to see more interactions between rulers, though. Garuda and Titania being allies - or Garuda being in Titanias’s debt? - is pretty interesting.

German translation of Bright Forest is a joke…sounds like “Radiation Woods” if you retranslate it… :joy:

Please have mercy on poor tired @Saltypatra. She normally tweets good.

Just finish the storyline as well! I kinda like how much the troops released 3+ months ago appear so much in the quest, make them a bit more canon to Krystaya lore! This is maybe also the first time we get to fight Mythic in quest as well, although it’s kinda steal spotlight from Queen Titania and her pet for a bit. The lore post of that Mythic is actually tell a story of this kingdom’s questline, for how he is able to go back to his kingdom.

Ethora is more endurable than his sister, although I agree he is less of “Hot Dude”, more like “Hot Douche”. Sorry, Saltypatra! But I must say maybe Queen Titania still agree with you. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Also, look like it’s another time when we sided with the bad guys in the quest, happened way too often in many kingdoms… Let’s hope Bright Forest will be recovered from this attack soon!

Glitterclaw expression says it all.

I agree that so many newer troops appearing is really nice! A lot of troops need more lore but it’s hard to do so because there’s so many now. So I indeed appreciate that, too.

There were two in the extra questlines before (Abynissia to unlock Soulforge and King Gorgotha (dungeon boss) in the Khaziel extra), but indeed the first in a “main” storyline. And you’re right, I hadn’t even thought about his lore anymore, so I shall retract my former statement - he does fit in there.

:joy::rofl: This is brilliant and shall be my new nickname for him!

Yeah, I do wonder how the hero is viewed in Krystara (especially with all the company they keep by now…). Though given the lack of personality, maybe the hero isn’t viewed as much at all… I personally can’t really see the hero as someone canon in any way; just way too little personality to get any sort of attachment out of them.

Can you retell the storyline for those who had to skip it, pls?
What actually happened there?

  1. Hot Dude Prince visits the Fey Queen
  2. Fey Queen wants to keep Hot Dude for herself
  3. Hot Dude + Hero begin their daring escape
  4. During their escape they freed Scorpius
  5. Scorpius wreck vengeance on Fey court
  6. … and I’m not exactly sure what happens here, but apparently Hero decides to take out Scorpius and the Queen and problems solved…

Ethoras went to see Titania for unknown reasons. His hair looked messy from sailing and he had to fix it. Then they met Titania, who wanted to take him prisoner. Ethoras and the hero fled into a cave despite Ethoras not “doing caves”. Scorpius was imprisoned there and broke free. Ethoras and the hero fled by boat, got almost eaten by Scylla and Kraken, also couldn’t escape via dragon because of Garuda and friends showing up. Ethoras decides to fix his hair again to impress Titania and pay her to let him go. He fixes his hair some more. They arrive at Titania’s court, to see Scorpius wreck the place. The hero beats up Titania and Scorpius and Ethoras grants the hero the honor of travelling with him (and fix his hair, maybe).

I don’t know for a lore, what actually happened when we kill a troop. We didn’t really kill the Summer Fey’s Queen right??? More likely just fainted like in Pokemon. But we know for sure Scorpius survived his attack, because he went back to Drifting Sand, his home kingdom that he used to ruled as an Emperor.

How did he even get there though? Can scorpions swim? Did he ride on Dragon Turtle’s back? Krakan’s tentacle? Or he orders Guruda fly him back? So many questions!

At least we know this kingdom quest happened before Drifting Sand’s, at least in some way. I don’t know for sure though, he is not in his own kingdom’s quest, and the whole world’s timeline is messy anyway…

They are probably making these up as they move along.

This game isn’t exactly like an rpg game where the context of the game affects the game play.

Wait…
After adding a Troop that summons Mab, you now added a Troop that summons Krystenax???

What’s next, summoning Famine?

Hope we get a troop that summons 1-3 of the horsemen.

Why not have a troop that sacrifice the whole team for full 4 apocalypse horseman instead?!!

Or Darkstone Mythic that summon full mana Psion?

…I shouldn’t joke about that, it might actually happen sometimes.

Anyway, I’m imagine what kind of Mythic for Bright Forest will be. Fire Skadi that summon Queen Titania? Whoa…

Lord Bane! Summons 1-3 random horsemen!

4 horsemen on their own aren’t great.
