What are you willing to pay money for?

$5 for a Legendary and they’d have to close down the game.

The bottom line is that most people in F2P games will never spend, no matter how enticing the price, so you’ll run your economy into the ground if your only goal is to drive conversions. The economics of F2P mean that they make all their money on 5% of players, and like 50% of that money from 5% of those players. When 50% of your revenue comes from .25% of your players, that tells you a lot about how the economy has to be structured to be profitable.

I’m not arguing that $50 is an attractive price point, I’m just arguing that it’s a good value for the amount of hours you put into the game when you think about the amount of hours you get for most forms of entertainment. Movies are like $15/ticket where I live and that’s for 2 hours of entertainment. Meanwhile I’ve got hundreds of hours in Gems…

The best they can do to make an attractive offer at a lower price point is something like the Daily Gems pack. It’s a fantastic value at a low price, and probably the best deal in the game. They tried to replicate this with other “Dailies” but I’m guessing it doesn’t work nearly as well given the nature of the economy. I really like the weapons idea since there’s currently no way to get many of them and they don’t work in a chest since you only need one copy.

  1. This is the only game I play. I have an Xbox One and PS4 collecting dust. I play this game 5 or 6 hours a day. That’s nothing compared to the time I was playing Gears of War in the MLG tournaments. I am VIP 6, and the Deathknight armor levels you up quickly. I understand there are those who don’t have my commitment or dedication or even my bias for the game. I just understand that you can excel at this game if you simply play it, and it join a contributing a guild. I don’t want to hijack this thread, and everyone has their opinion. I value you as a fellow Gems of War player, a great debater, and I wish you the best.

@Koolbiird I have enjoyed our debate immensely. You are quite the debater yourself. Kudos on the accomplishments and best of luck to you in the future! HAPPY HUNTING!

I want this, my wallet does not.[quote=“HKdirewolf, post:61, topic:6860”]
-Potions or something that gives you certain buffs for a few hours.(glory, souls, gold,xp,traitstones)

might be a guild thing later.[quote=“HKdirewolf, post:61, topic:6860”]
-Plush toys or something collectible IRL.

like overwatch or nintendo’s amiibo.

Here is an idea. a package that lets you be a level 1000 for a day one time use with everything unlocked and fully traited…aka a win button.

Personally i’ve played the game for free and after reaching a certain degree of success having fun, and still wanting more of it, i’ve decided to spend money on it not only for the benefits, but also as a form to show my support. Having smaller and more diverse packs seems good because i think a lot of players are willing, but not able, to show some support too.

:astonished: So that explains why I’m not at level 1000 yet!

Overall too I would just like to see more discounts in the form of “sales” knocking the percentage of the price off. You could have some for normal players and some to VIP players. That’s an extra added perk to VIP levels is you get so much a higher percentage off.

I can’t tell if you are serious with that last one killer lol A win button? Level 1000 just like that for one day or a few hours? Idk about that.

See what it is like to be level 1000 for a day for say $100 one time use. It does not count for acheivments and does not add to vip level either.

For 100$ it better add to vip level LOL

Perhaps but 1/7th the points needed to reach the highest vip level.

I love this idea. It would be cool if they perhaps had a random sale day for some of their regular bundles. If they had the DK bundle on sale for a day, I bet it would sale like hotcakes.

In answer to the topic question, two things:

  1. Better VIP benefits (e.g., Deathknight Armor at VIP 5).
  2. Simple weekly subscription {e.g., in US currency $1.99 per week}

I don’t expect others to approve. But if you have no trouble tipping a waiter or waitress for serving you well at your restaurant of choice, then you should have no trouble tipping these Devs who put this wonderful game together for your mere enjoyment. Just pay whatever you can afford just like you do when you place your order.

Thank you for your time.

I do not tip the staff, I tip the driver. The only busboy i ever talk to is the one who drove 5 miles to give me my 14 inch philly cheese steak sub.

We already have subscriptions. The Daily Gems is $5 for 15 days. Not too different from $2/week.

To emphasise Koolbiird’s point, I started in October 2015 and play only about half as much as he does since I’m just shy of level 500. Based on trophy count, my guild probably generates only half the keys of Kool’s guild. Nevertheless, I have all troops except one imp. I’d guess most players in the top 50 guilds have almost all troops by the time they’re level 300, barring a small handful of “white whales”.

The answer is get yourself in an active guild generating plenty of glory keys and gems.

It may not look so different but consider the cost over the long run. When it comes to the Daily Gems deal at $4.99 for 15 days, one is basically paying $.33 on average per day. That’s not so bad, however, when it comes to a weekly subscription at $1.99 for seven days, the average cost per day is a nickel less at $.28 per day. Which in 15 days totals to $4.20 at a savings of $.79 for the customer.

May not seem much still, but after 52 weeks/ 364 days later, the total amount for the Daily Gem deal would come to $120.12 whereas a weekly subscription would come to $101.92 total. That’s a savings of $18.20 for the year which is nice considering how much [at least from what I’ve seen from the Xbox Store] someone like me has to pay, additionally, in taxes with every purchase I make.

To me that is a greater bargain. For you, perhaps not. But then again, who would honestly want to pay for something they can easily get in-game by investing their time and effort? Most players won’t be inclined to pay for gems when they belong to a very good guild either. So its not really profitable (like the weapons pack one-time deal is) for the company in the long run.

Offering a weekly subscription makes good business sense for them as well as for us.

This is the real answer.

I still get the weekly if I can afford it. Like Sirrian said in another post, it’s a nice little tip for their hard work

I just recently started picking up the $5 gem pack, it really is a great deal. Same with the weapons packs. They could offer so many things. Sirrian eluded to them coming up with more offers for less money so i’m all about it!
