Stellarix is stupidly overpowered. Change the 3x back to 2.1

There are over 1000 troops and weapons, giving you an insane amount of combination of troops. Today, in pvp, def had a stellarix, which went off 4 times against me and I still won. Yesterday, I was doing frenzy on red and was up against a wand, using elemental class, 2 stellarix, and a takshata. All 4 of the troops were filled and blessed and they needed 1 more casting to defeat me. All my troops were down to under 50 life and no armor. My loop went off and I won the battle. I have been playing this game almost since day 1. Over all these years, players complained about troops needed to be balanced. And sometimes, they are correct. I remember when justice needed to be nerfed and before that, the worm that devours from Drifting Sands. Back then , we found a way around it, making the game very easy, despite those troops being the meta. Stellarix doesn’t need to be nerfed if you know the easy way of beating it. I had 11 losses so far this week, and 8 of them were actually against Zuulgoth. Only 2 were from stellarix and I went up against that troop easily about 75 times. And just in case you want to know how to defeat stellarix, that info is only shared within our guild. I hope Guild Wars comes back soon. Our guild almost always gets first place and right now I am down to my last 10000 gems. Tomorrow, I will have enough dragonite to unlock stellarix, but I don’t see myself using it, since the combination I use is more dominant. So, I have no qualms if stellarix is nerfed or buffed. And it will be my 20th gold elite troop for that kingdom.

Howd i go 80-10 if its so unbeatable. If you dont have takshaka? Well…you arent an endgame account. I think newer players should have their own league so they can catch up.

The mode is the problem. Not the troops

Tbh anyone with out Takshaka, which is the basic monthly mythic.

Means they haven’t saved keys gems glory, and haven’t put the time in over the month.

Takshaka wasn’t a surprise, everyone knows there’s a troop monthly.

So anyone without it, your playing wrong or badly
Or are not at the point off the game, that you should have it.

Right. I wouldnt expect new players to be able to beat stellarix blood frenzy right now.

I really hope the few whiners dont get listened to. Id like to use stellarix myself when i finally get him

Acquisition is a one-time cost.
Broken troop strength is a recurring benefit.
The math does not balance.

Hot take: Change the wand’s effect from “choose” to random. Also, given it’s a six-color weapon maybe the Mana Cost needs to go up?

I DO expect battles to be winnable, not rely on RNG since turn 1.
We had just Dia and pvp was fine. Only Stella ruined it. Nerf required much more than goblins or whatever stuff you can imagine. No other team can provide that big difference.

Instead of whining go nerf him yourself right now.

We have plenty of tools to deal with stellarix. Dont go nerfing something people are working towards because of a few crybabies who refuse to adjust

If PvP was that bad, then no one would be playing it.

But newsflash, people are playing it A LOT.

There winning and losing.
Not Whining and crying.

There’s a very very very miniscule minority complaining on here, same people as usual.

No nerfs needed.

The new pvp mode needs work big time. While ive figured out stellarix fighting the same teams gets old

Monoliths are there for a reason. Spell and skull damage armor at the same time.

Your missing the problem.

The whining, is because PvP isn’t the same as before updates.
We’re people could go on easiest choice and win 500 wins in a row.

They hate change, the hate things not being one shot move no intelligence journey prenerf people.

It’s the same people, every issue on this forum.

HOO BOY - I wrote a lot - sorry in advance for the read time on this one - classic Kafka wall of text posting.

You’re using an endgame crafted only Troop and 2 Mythics and a fully levelled Hero Class. This is not what I would consider an easy strategy for most players. Just throwing this perspective in the mix.

It’s good you’re sharing your strategy though for other players with those things, it’s really helpful in these sorts of discussions!!!

I can probably offer up another team as well later when I have time with less mythics on it. Although tbh I feel like sometimes I have more trouble collecting Legendaries :joy: probably because I don’t put the same amount of effort into targetting them.

Looking at the whole picture, I think we have issues with crazily excessive looping teams and the feedback from the player base as well as the game data definitely reflects that (player base - not exclusively talking about this particular forum). This is fine when it happens and you’re the attacker and it’s terrible when it’s your opponent’s team doing it.

Rebalancing individual Troops and Weapons is sometimes needed, but we also look at - ok but if we nerf this Troop where is the issue going to shift to and is it going to be acceptable there or is there an overarching issue that needs to also be addressed. It does feel like the excessive looping thing has gotten out of hand generally. I’m not currently sure where the designers are at with their thinking on this one and if they plan to just look at individual problem Troops as we go or at the extra turn issue as a whole etc etc. iirc we did already buff Stellarix because the feedback was that it wasn’t good enough, it could be maybe we went too far in the other direction and maybe we need to review it again and bring it back to somewhere between how it was on original release and after the buff.

As I said, looping teams is fun when we’re doing it just not fun when your opponent doesn’t even give you a turn before smashing you, we don’t want to remove the fun so it’s about finding balance however this ends up being addressed.

Currently, the plan is to address the PVP feedback at least in part first and this is where Stellarix is causing pain points.
We’ve mentioned the not having a clear easy > normal > hard opponent for example
Also that you can be offered 3 opponents all with Stellarix x Wand of Stars teams.

If there were more options in your opponent selection maybe Stellarix and Wand of Stars wouldn’t even need to be reviewed.

So yeah there’s a bit to think on and we’re trying other tweaks first!

Ah, while I’m responding also just a reminder please to go easy on each other. It’s perfectly ok to disagree with each other but be respectful, I don’t want to see you telling each other to quit the game/game mode. Obviously if someone has taken the time to share their feedback they care about what they’re writing about and would prefer to enjoy the thing than quit. It also just creates a bit of an unwelcoming vibe if we tell each other to quit. We don’t want people to feel like they can’t participate in the community forum without being put on blast. Also discussing differing opinions is healthy, we have a wide variety of people playing GoW from casual to hardcore, lowbies to endgamers, PVPers, PVE-ers, Guild content vs solo play preferences etc. There are a lot of different opinions and likes and dislikes floating around the player base and we want to hear about all of them.

A good example is the Guild Wars feedback thread we have running at the moment - we’ve not only heard from players whose favourite game mode is Guild Wars, but also players whose most hated game mode is Guild Wars - and literally just this morning a designer mentioned how HELPFUL it has been hearing from players who hate the game mode. We need a variety of perspectives to get the best outcomes, so we should embrace diversity in thought.

I can also tell you we’re not likely to change everything based on one person’s opinion - so you don’t need to panic and jump on them for having it. And if they’re not the only person saying it - maybe the stance on it is more mixed than you thought it would be and we should hear out everyone’s opinions and evaluate and discuss them together and try to understand where each other are coming from.

Also something to keep in mind. On brown day those mana generators gimp each other. Its not a great team. Ice turns red to blue. Damnation turns blue to purple. Often times ai will use damnation first…removing all the blue ice needs lol.

One issue tho.

Goblin teams have been around years looping.

So the issue isn’t new, the issue isn’t the looping.
People are just using that as the issue.

My problem is I’ve seen TOO MANY mobile games go the nerf route. It always snowballs. You currently have not one, not two, but THREE loopers. Takshaka, Wand, and Stellarix. You nerf stellarix, takshaka is gonna take its spot. And it can one shot two troops on blood frenzy. Gonna nerf that too?

Its a slippery slope. The mode itself is what needs work. I’ve found a way to make peace with it, and have a pretty good strategy to beat every stellarix team. But then I have almost every troop.

The biggest issue with nerfing stellarix is he’s the end game carrot on a stick for many players. I JUST got my final dragon and am 3200 dragonite away from stellarix. Imagine how I’d feel if I got him finally and he was busted because a few loud people are crying about him instead of figuring out how to beat him. If players don’t have the troops to beat him? Well…thats another problem, and that’s player progression. There needs to be as you said “easy” battles.

But therin is a problem. “Your last attack is your defense.” With this current iteration. I don’t know how you fix this. People are going to use their best team.

Can I ask

You’ve just said you don’t change things on one person’s opinion.

There’s maybe 50 people maximum on here, that gives opinions, out of a player base in the thousands

So unless there’s another way, you guys are getting opinions.
Then your always changing things, based on minority.

I think what I’d love to see on the side of the whole to nerf or not to nerf discussion that would be actually really awesome would be a thread in the Guides section where everyone contributes Teams to counter the Stellarix/Wand of Stars meta and other looping Teams.

Obviously this is a whole thing that needs to be addressed in some way (I have my fingers crossed those 2 changes in PVP will sort it out enough), but it would also be really cool to see real practical help from the community in the meantime for people (most people) struggling fighting against this team.

Honestly it would also be sorta wholesome.

The fact is you’re all fantastic team builders especially when you work together and I love to see it.
