Okay, so you stopped Stella + Wand being on the enemy team, but you seem to have decided to replace them with Prismatic Orb + Dia - who in their right mind thought that was a good replacement? (hint, Prismatic + (almost) any mythic is as bad as Wand + Stella given they loop you to death)
But in practice, it is. Wand of Stars is functionally a mass exploder weapon but with even better Mana generation than an actual exploder (Gorgotha, etc), while Stellarix is also a mass exploder but also packing the single highest magic-to-damage DPS scalar in the game.
Diamantina doesn’t share Stellarix’s unique ability to disrupt the board, nor its 55% resistance to Spell damage, making it easier to take out (especially for an Enrage based team). Prismatic Orb can trigger Mana Surges and Extra Turns but that is hardly unusual for a single-color gem creator.
For those of us not even close to end game, they’re as bad as each other as they basically loop us to death (unless we can silence etc them first, there’s literally nothing we can do)
/edit
I don’t have Stella/Dia etc yet, so there’s only so much I can do.
A majority of my losses come from a random enemy Pharoah Khafru explosion into a non-stop cascade skull storm that doesn’t stop until I’m basically dead.
Pretty disruptive if I do say so myself.
The AI gets priority on 1 time storms, so it is surprisingly not easy to get rid of that skull storm either.
Not an uncommon situation where I want mana and the only thing available is a random skull.
If you are still at a point where your teams are not strong enough to take out prismatic orb and diamantina you shouldn’t be playing blood frenzy in the first place since it’s not meant for you. If you are at a point where you can’t manage during regular battles you should be selecting the left side easy battles where these troops are less common and I know from personal experience that if you lose a few times to stronger enemy teams you get easier options for future battles. If you can’t handle even easy teams then PVP isn’t really for you at all and you should probably be spending your time in explore farming traitsones to level your troops and power levels.
I can’t say I disagree, but the thing is we used to have casual PvP that was accessible even to players with very low team scores. So the PvP/glory tasks were never a huge problem. Now that casual PvP is gone, but glory/PvP campaign reqs remained unchanged, the campaign was clearly messed up for some players. I suppose match-making system is failing these players, just as it is failing people at the other end of the team score range, just in a different way.
I have an over 20k team score and still get easy battles on the left side of pvp in central spire. No dragons to be seen. A lot of these complaints about dragons/wand are from players that just want every battle to be ridiculously easy BUT also giving higher rewards. Just doesn’t work like that. Newer players have easier battles and if something happens where their only option is a harder battle than they can reasonably complete you absolutely get easier battles after losing a bit and like I said before if someone is so new that they can’t even manage the easiest pvp battles they should be over in explore anyways and not wasting their time on pvp. No one is expecting newer/lower level players to make it very far in guild events even using free sigils so I don’t know why pvp is such a big issue. I’m guessing that most players are more casual and not even attempting all the various game modes available and there is nothing wrong with that since every single thing in the game doesn’t need to be done unless you have both the time and the resources to do so.
Hard disagree. The problem with Stellarix was that he could one shot your entire team if his mana got full. You cast Wand of Stars and it misses, it’s game over. His replacement can’t do that.
There are multiple teams that can cook that replacement duo. Just make your own Wand of Stars with elementalist class, use 2x Beatrix or 2X Tesla and Leprechaun with appropriate medals for either pair. Wand + Zuul and 2 Pharohs (can’t remember his name but the mythic that was released recently who is a passive exploder) is also a good choice. If you need more team suggestions let me know. I have roughly a 80-95% win rate in blood frenzy colored regions depending on the color. If you need some more team suggestions, let me know.
If Diamantina’s storm is an issue for you, there are plenty of ways for the human player to get rid of it. Huge numbers of those methods being rather easy to integrate into your own team without making any real sacrifices.
I’ve acquired both by now, but refuse to build PVP teams around them. I might throw in a Gem or Cosmic dragon if there’s a relevant region restriction, but I already get enough mileage out of teams I developed much earlier overall, and I personally enjoy running themed teams more than anything else.
Yes but that is a Khafru problem, not a Diamantina problem. You do not see it likewise happening in Sunday Boss Dungeons (copypasted Goblin team aside) or for those who reach the end of Underspire.
The skull storm may belong to Diamantina, but the player still has about a million and six different ways to deal with it, many of them getting rid of a Bonestorm before the other side even gets a turn.
