We’ve had Towers show up a couple of times in World Events. We even had a new Siegebreaker troop in the World Event shop once upon a time to accomodate the limitations on that event – iirc, the troop restriction was “Glacial Peaks” and “blue” that week and Glacial Peaks was one of the kingdoms that didn’t get a Siegebreaker in the original run (because there are more kingdoms than troop class types).
I don’t believe it’s farfetched to see the developers go back to that paradigm for a week. And something similar two weeks later for the Godslayer.
This one must use Arcane Venom or Arcane Spirit traitstones, as I suggest. Because there must not be Brown in Umbral Nexus troops. I suppose it remains from the previous design, when Umbral Nexus had “Purple, Yellow, -Green” banner (the same as the Dark Court’s one).
Broken Spire is the last remaining kingdom without a delve. Odd they released Nexus and its delve before it – but they probably did so to get the power level of Nexus up to speed faster, whereas Broken Spire already has quite a number of troops.
There are also a number of kingdoms without Siegebreakers: Darkstone, Ghulvania, Silverglade, Sin of Maraj, Stormheim, and Zhul’kari.
Pridelands on the other hand has two siegebreakers. And every kingdom has a Godslayer, but Leonis Empire has two.
Not every kingdom requires a Siegebreaker. Plus there are more kingdoms than troop types and that was the case even before Nexus was released.
Since the end of Invasions as a weekly event, we’ve had two new Siegebreakers released when the World Event included Tower enemies and the troop restrictions didn’t allow a current Siegebreaker to be used.
It might be nice to have a few more Siegebreakers to fluff kingdom star numbers by fluffing troop counts, but I’d just as soon have the developers release troops with bonafide utility. Not that they do this all that often, but most of the Siegebreakers are pretty useless outside of an Invasion event.
Tbh The Archduke is better than this troop. At least The Duke can increase its magic stat with its Third Trait. Unless you can find a way to pair this Mythic with Vernalis, Liang or Emperinazara, it’ll only be useful for kingdom stars.
Consort of Darkness is probably too dangerous to use in a delve. Even if you have a near-guaranteed insta-kill on an enemy, you can leave yourself a really bad board for the AI to take advantage of when the skulls generate.
I don’t overly mind casting TPK if the conditions are right. Opponents on 50% and not dying to TPK is just the wrong condition. At 100% or low enough to die to the damage is fine.
If you get a hero class up to talent level 100 with the Cunning tree, Rogues get 1 magic on 4+ matches.
Corsair with that Zhul’Kari spider (Night Spider I think? …that is a rogue for some reason) that makes blue and purple gems boosted by Rogue allies, plus Mother of Darkness and the Rogue mana start parrot are a common team that’s very effective. If someone doesn’t have MoD, they could easily replace her with this guy. Just loop Spider a bunch of times, use Rope Dart or some other Entangling weapon before you cast if you’re really worried about the skulls
