所以塔罗牌应该像公会守护者一样当达到4张神话品质时就不再重复获得。
This will depend on the reward structure of the pass—it’s possible that the royal pass unlocks won’t contain any non-exclusive troops at all, in which case there is no problem.
It does seem to me that considering the royal pass ignoring the exclusives sets up a false dichotomy, since the exclusives are pretty much the entire point.

Some details for the rewards in the Kingdom Pass are below:
Kingdom Troops:
Several Troops from the new Kingdom will be available from the Kingdom Pass:
- Some are available from the Free Pass
- Some are only available from the Royal Pass.
Here are how the troops in the kingdom will release:
Chests:
1 Common Troop – Will go directly into gold chests (& will be in Event chests during the weekly event in that kingdom)
1 Rare Trop – Will go directly into gold & glory chests (& will be in Event chests during the weekly event in that kingdom)
1 Epic Quest Giver- Will go directly into glory, gem & VIP chests (& will be in Event chests during the weekly event in that kingdom)
1 Legendary Troop – Will go directly into glory, gem & VIP chests (& will be in Event chests during the weekly event in that kingdom). This will also be available in a shop pack.
Kingdom Pass:
1 Ultra-Rare Troop – WIll be available in Free AND Royal Pass reward tracks. This will go into glory & gem chests after 2-3 months.
1 Epic Troop – WIll be available in Free AND Royal Pass reward tracks. This will go into glory, gem & VIP chests after 2-3 months.
1 Tarot Legendary Troop – Will be available in the Royal Pass only, and will go into the Vault after 2-3 months.
1 Legendary Troop (the Battlecrasher) – Will be available in the Royal Pass only, and will go into glory, gem & VIP chests after 2-3 months (this will also be available in shop bundle).
As weekly event troops or mythics appear for the kingdom after release, they will follow the regular release patterns for those kind of troops.
It doesn’t quite add up. That’s 8 troops accounted for, 10 troops have their release date set for tomorrow. What are the remaining two, other than “working as intended”?
I suspect they haven’t mentioned glory shop troop (that should go in chests right away) and pathfinder from Journey shop (that shouldn’t be in chests immediately) - would make a total of 10 troops.
Even if there is a bunch of common and rare troops in the pass may as well spend keys on day 1 anyway. If you don’t spend your gold keys on new kingdom when will you spend them?
In that spirit… I’m curious as to how much gold & how many gems 100k of gold chests will give out.
I agree on the gold keys front for sure.
It’s event keys I think might be a sticking point for folks who pay. Presumably they’re the ones least wanting to wait — but the delayed rollout of what they pay for forces them to, or else double-spend in search of epics/legendaries (copies of which they’ll already “have”, within a month, at least).
The Daily Deals thread sort of illustrates my point, too — if purchasers don’t want kingdom “helper” deals, they’ll want to be at peak kingdom power. But they can’t be if they don’t want to waste some of the benefits of their purchase
So all I’m driving at is this : for at least a large segment of the playerbase I foresee buying these (endgamers who don’t want to fall behind — new players wanting to catch up won’t care about this), what they’re buying is ONLY the legendary, tarot, and mythic pet.
Everything else will be reduced to souls — because they’ll be “extra” copies beyond those required for a mythic ascension.
This quibble assumes a few things I realize, like there being only new troops in these passes, and not other things I’d already consider chaff, like ingots
Although you’re right, I’m not sure if you fully read the patch note repost above, as there is a different between buying Royal Kingdom Pass and playing the event itself.
First of all, here is the repost of my pics from the Patch note.
Week 1
Week 2+3
I’m quite sure it will be outdated immediately tomorrow, due to pair switch of Ultra-Rare and Legendary. Even the tarot is already outdated as you can get it and everything else on the Pass on week 1 by buying boost (or skip).
So… As you can see, 1 Ultra-Rare and 1 Epic are exclusive to Pass. Maybe the Royal Pass will give them quicker, but beside boost/skip, the only way to get them is still by earning Crowns.
So opening more keys doesn’t matter for these 2 troops. You will only get first copy when you have enough Crowns (or skip). Then, you want to wait to Mythic them by earning more copies in the event or use Ascension Orbs is up to each players.
(…Or, just spend Gems to skip until you get all the copies of the troops you need)
As everyone will be spending keys tomorrow anyway, no matter if they buy anything or not, you can get 4 troops to Mythic right away, via Event or Gem/Glory/Gold keys.
Common and Rare can be done with enough Gold keys, and we will likely get Epic Quest Giver for free, so personally, I will use all Glory first to see if I’ll be lucky get more copies of Epic, and first copy of Legendary. If that work, then I don’t need to spend Event Keys at all!
Then, the other 2 troops are so easy to Mythic’ed, with Glory pack for Ultra-Rare, and buying Tier 6 in Journey for Epic Guide.
Then, it will spit in 2 groups…
1 : Free to play
Can only get first copy of 2 Free Pass troops with enough Crowns, and have to wait for 2-3 months to get Battlecrasher Legendary and Tarot in Vault.
2 : Royal Pass buyer only
Can get first copy of 2 Free Pass troops, Battlecrasher Legendary, and Tarot with enough Crowns.
Edit : Changing some info, as I was mistaken to think Boost/skip is only exclusive to money, when it’s possible to spend Gems too, at 5K maximum to finish the event.
Damn… That was long.
Anyway, what do anyone think of Umbral Nexus?
They got the spells now, but no trait yet. Seems so slow and have scaling problem, but at least there is a summoner.
I’ll maybe explain what I mean better when tomorrow comes if the pass looks like what I think it’s going to look like — people seem to not be understanding me, which is my fault for being unclear, I’m sure XD
I have read the patch notes.
What they make me think is that we’ll be seeing something like this (as close as I can get):
I get that F2P would get the one epic ingot.
My point is that a payer gets the other two, too — so let’s presume the troops work in similar fashion (knowing they might not!)
A player, for an epic (just to make the example easy — not referring to a specific troop about to be released) needs 16 copies to ascend to mythic. So, if one can get one from the pass for free, all players need 15 from keys, assuming players don’t ever want to spend keys on content they can get through other, more efficient means (even if that means waiting, to a point).
Ahem
If the payer gets that one plus an additional copy, only 14 from keys. In my head it makes more sense that there would be 5 in the lower slot — one “free” (for money ) ascension.
And so on and so forth with the effects multiplying for each occurrence (we know there are 50 slots at least, so I’m thinking it makes sense for there to be repeats, as with Shade of Kurandara. The assumption could, of course, be wrong and I may be, in fact, a donkey ). If it multiplies to the point that enough copies are earned to ascend the card to mythic (as with Shade of Kurandara) just by unlocking the reward tiers of the pass, then that player should not also spend keys.
Maybe not every unlock section will have troop cards like I think — maybe they’ll have ingots, glory, etc… — but I’d find it disappointing if there are things besides this kingdom-specific content — ie troops, weapons, pets belonging to the kingdom, not glory, ingots, souls or gold that can be spent irrespective of kingdom
So, yeah — if these passes are only giving single copies anyway, it’s a moot point for all. Everyone will have to spend a bunch of keys.
But if the difference between free-and-paid is number of copies, not the troops themselves, then the person who pays has to wait longer to ascend because they’ll be tallying up what they get in the pass eventually and subtracting it from the total needed.
If you’re right in that certain troops are pass-only (irrespective of paid or not — paid just gets more) and certain ones are chest-only, I’ll end by saying: seems weird to do that.
Wouldn’t put it past them, at all. Stranger design decisions have been made in this game.
But it would make more sense to me if in their pass they had even copies of troops that could be earned in chests as one of the unlock-able sections, to make it more attractive to players and also to fill out the 50 slots. Like, in your picture — there are 7 cards in Week 1 that aren’t from the glory or event shop. I could imagine a scenario where each gets a day in the pass even though four would also be available in chests.
Why the devs gave us vague patch notes (that can hardly be trusted anyway, given communication failures like the Arachnean Weaver debacle and many, many others) instead of just a picture of what the pass looks like is beyond me
but here we are
Thanks for letting me ramble, y’all — I’m just excited for the new stuff and so filling the time (probably) overthinking it all
I think that’s exactly how it work, judging from the patch note. There are Key-Exclusive troops and Pass-Exclusive troops, with no overlap between them.
Kinda make sense to me though, as the whole point of the Pass seems to be monetizing some troops instead of releasing them all freely like all previous kingdoms.
For the reward tracks, there might be
- 16 Epic
- 41 Ultra-Rare
- 6 Legendary (or just one)
- 1 Tarot
- 5 weapons
- 93 pet copies (31 for each 3 pets)
- Unknown amount of other resources
That’s already 162+ items to get in the just 50+50 Free/Royal slots. They don’t need to add Key-Exclusive troops as fillers at all.
Also, somehow Kingdom Pass Event might also have this look.
Dang. I’m sure you’re closer to the truth than me, but it stinks that it’ll be so drip-fed as a result
I wonder how many people will be compelled to spend, or use orbs, to compensate?
There is a kind of precedent of useless (as in not needed) troops in rewards. Faction event tiers giving the epic troop when mostly everyone will already have it at mythic via pulling the other faction troops.
It’s only really helpful to the newest of players with no resources. Like the troops in Journey rewards I guess.
Now we know, 10 new levels.
[SOULFORGE_HINT] Level your Soulforge to gain new recipes. It can go as high as Level 20.
You were totes right — not nearly as many card copies as I expected, not the interface I would have thought was simplest, tons of chaff offers (but also imperial deeds and books!?!).
So I’m not sure how to feel yet but I appreciate your humoring me yesterday despite how wrong I was
I think those are the troops you get by leveling up the Nexus kingdom.
Now that we’ve got the details on the upcoming Nexus delve…
… the “strategy” is probably to keep summoning blockers with the Umbral Portal. To use the Void Wisp to plink what you determine to be the most dangerous (non-Stealthy) enemy. To use the Darkborn Sorcerer to do tickle damage to everything if a better move isn’t available. And to use the Lightborn Paladin as a meat shield and for board control in certain spots.
Probably start with one of everything using an “all faction” team in the first room, but adapting to what the RNG grants you as summons as you go along. And hoping to find a way to knock out the enemy Wisp in the final boss room at high levels before it (or the Sorcerer) nukes your own team with overwhelming stats.
Just as a guess, “Umbral Star” will be the same as “Elemental Star” only with yellow/purple. And Umbral Storm will also be yellow/purple. Which probably makes sense given the units and the likely storyline.
Already have yellow/purple storm from Orrery. Elemental Storm from Nexus Portal causes elemental stars to fall more often so Umbral Storm will probably cause umbral stars to fall more often.
On 29th November we are getting an invasion troop for Nexus (a tower killer) but without an invasion event???
