The final versions of the Troop and Spell icons are here!
First up the final version of the spell icon:
With the Troop itself the art team gave us 2 versions of the troop, one with the more traditional steampunk bronze color and the other was a silver that matched the tentacles in the spell icon. In the end we decide to go with the silver (though we had a tough time), just so the icon and troop felt like they belonged together:
This is so cool! I would love seeing more of these for other troops. How does this process compare to making regular troops? Is this more effort because shocktopus is special or is this what you do for every troop added in the game?
i feel like the bronze look like rust and would fit better for something always in the water and the silver one look more like spatial octopus but this is still a good job guys
