Definitely agree; I don’t get this frustrated with games and developers I don’t like. Lucky you!
We’ve tried a number of things, which has had minimal improvements on the servers. They seem to return to normal for about 5-10 minutes and then have issues again.
We believe it may be an issue with the database itself, so our database provider is looking into it, while we continue to tweak what we can on our end.
I would be looking into a new database provider, this isn’t a 1 time occurrence.
These issues are not helping your brand, pretty soon everyone will be using the acronym GoE (Gems of Errors)
Not sure if anyone is aware, but I cannot log-in. I think there’s something wrong with the game. Thanks.
Ah ok! Could you tell me the problem please? I THINK I MIGHT be having the same problem as you?! Thanks.
Just you, @HKdirewolf. The rest of us are here practicing our Monday Server Drill where we all pretend the servers are down to help the Devs prepare in case the real thing ever happens.
I can now get into the iOS game, but I can’t actually do anything that requires a server call. Which means it’s not working, right.
It’s not that either, really.
The game is Java, Adobe Air, and MongoDB. Cheap, accessible, and doesn’t scale well at all.
Shoulda, woulda, coulda. What codebase would you have written your baby in?
LOL! Thoughts on that…
I work in tech, I can absolutely blame the devs for going with a garbage system instead of something that works.
What are the chances of actually getting ur keys back? Lost emeperor and a gorgotha, rather depressing
I would not have used only MongoDB. Has to be one of the worst write intensive databases out there.
Games are very write intensive to save your progress.
If you send a ticket to support they should be able to help you out.
