Guild "agreement" in bracket1 to arrange scores

Like the first part, I think just the exp boost and seals isn’t enough, not a fan of the second part as it may create internal competition and not promote team play inside a guild which undermines “Guild Wars”. Of course, upping the loot for winning every battle might make guilds who are constantly winning at the lower brackets disproportionately wealthy.

The surfacing of this problem will require a design re-think. If the unique troop defense bonus is implemented, it will probably encourage more collusion.

If it still matters then it would be incentives to cheat? Just hurts less when you lose. (Coming from someone who gets his ass handed to him in B1). I hate everyone I come up against in GW, at least just for the time of the battle and a couple minutes after.

Yeah i have no idea how they will be able to prevent it this look like mission impossible

Would @Rojo1 and @Rickygervais both please take a step back from the conversation for a little while? (Edit: with each other. By all means, continue making sensible responses to other posters.)

I don’t rally know how to respond to that but maybe you are using wrong team! Ask your guild for help! I would help you if you were in my guild! I am 60/0 last 12 days so I do not lose often and usually score between 7000 and 7500!

Which is why i suggest for guilds to go blind when picking defenses. Collusion occurs in many classic games, ex. monopoly and risk which are within the rules. If devs want to stop collusion they need to plug loopholes. People getting advantages without breaking the game is fine from the player perspective imo. I would never blame anyone for setting up a wisp or kraken team against me, only ever complain to the devs on why they are so unbalanced.

Only solution would be to raise guild cap at 100 players

I am literally ripping the team off the paragon on my guild who gets the same scores you do, it’s just there are days like today where i can tell, “I’m having a bad one today” from the first battle and it happens. Granted I waited this long in the day so I can’t really wait a couple hours and come back which is my fault.

Another way to do it would be to have the top guild play 2 all week 3 play 4 and 5 play 6 and so on! You wont be able to cheat because I doubt the top 2 guilds are sister guilds!

Maybe it’s just a farce to put us off?

I find it quite interesting that you seem to want to offer help in finding a solution when i think you know what the easiest solution was already. Well… Too late now isnt it…

I am shocked and amazed that NOBODY amongst the guilds involved have even tried to offer a public apology. I have waited almost 48 hours and heard nothing from them even close to showing remorse.

Dont bother now because it would only seem disingenuous and hollow…

You’re missing the point. Having a simple text file great. Creating it and maintaining all the new alliances, broken alliance, secret alliances would be time consuming and inaccurate at best for over 1k guilds. And then how do you handle all the alliances of 3+ guilds in a simple text file? Not what devs should be spending their time on.

Not sure what having access to forum PMs has to do with anything. The fact that this thread exists and the devs took a stance on collusion and are actively looking for a way to counter it is more than enough proof that honesty is lacking. I don’t have to know anything else, and certainly not what’s contained in anyone’s PMs.

If I misunderstood the way it was meant, I am truly sorry for lashing out at you @ZooKeeper. Being in Bracket One, sometimes Bracket Two, I am directly impacted by this and and obviously hurt that we have been playing against such unfair odds. So, I’m a bit sensitive on the matter. Sorry again @ZooKeeper if I misunderstood your comment.

Keep waiting. Its not going to happen. It’s clear to me they still cling to the farce that it’s not cheating but rather it’s “superior strategy” to collude.

That was the justification months ago and likely still is today in their minds.

Well i don’t want to be the devil avocate but before the GW start, i remember the devs mentionned they tolerate guild collusion.

So now they said they won’t tolerate anymore, let’s see if they keep their words

We all remember this isn’t a callout thread, right? I mean, I realize there is blood in the water, but…

The only call-out i have seen in this thread was someone callung me a cheater. A post this community didnt bother to flag and was only removed because I reported it.

So if you are implying that you think someone is making a call-out then state clearly who and where. If not i will thank you for not reprimanding ppl unnecessarily

I’m saying you expressing shock that nobody has come forward with an apology is in fact a veiled attempt to shame people into coming out willingly so they can be confronted without anyone calling them out explicitly.

I’m actually glad nobody has “officially” apologized as it would just get the lynch mob going again. Let them be privately sorry and change their behavior going forward. This thread has achieved enough without trying to stir things up further.
