I decided to get Diamantina the natural way without spending gems.
Finally crafted her last month, so it took me ~ year. I had 19 normal dragon pulls, so I can understand you are even more frustrated than I was.

I was very lucky and got 1 dupe and am 100 dragonite away from stellarix and i agree. Its absurd
I also needed 19 Gem Dragon eggs to finish the set. Add the three weapons and Diamantina itself and that’s a cumulative cost of … 12,500 Dragonite, albeit “only” 2000 Dragonite above the expected value.

We certainly need a dupe protection or an opportunity to trade the cosmic/gem dragons.

Wow, that’s incredible bad luck!
I’m close to rage quitting every time I use a Cosmic Egg and I’m only at 29 with the blue dragon still missing.

Cost me 20k Dragonite for Stella. I literally had had enough.
74 eggs, 40700 so far. That’s an ultra impressive haul of Dragonite to be honest (I thought mine was good but it all went day 1).
Hope it arrives next pull.

I believe they use the same strategy as I did for my 37 cosmic dragons
Vault event: e1, accumulating verses (playing only a few for some pity keys)
After that: e12 retrieve method
Plus buying all available dragonite from dungeons and wandering merchants, using the lantern on the final boss in Underspire
I haven’t mentioned perfect runs, as these seem to be a myth

Takes atleast 30 mins using ironhawk team to get 4 verses.
One gap is 15 minutes, that’s 100 dragonite.
There’s one vault event per month.
Let’s be nice and say 24 gaps per day.
72 per weekend, that’s 7200 dragonite.
I’m guessing we’ve had 4 vaults since release, of cosmics, just a guess
18400 dragonite.
Ok now to buy dragonite every day, needs 2100 gems per week, let’s assume he plays no other mode, so doesn’t spend anywhere else.
That’s 1800 per month dragonite.
4 months is 7200 dragonite, also he’s not getting gems from keys as he’s not doing full gaps, just e12 dragonite trick.
It’s still seriously suspicious amount of eggs bought, even if you count saved dragonite from before cosmics come out.

Serious answer, we already know the ways to obtain it:
- Perfect Run in the Dungeon (completely RNG)
- Dragonite Gnome encounters (RNG, but you can bait for these)
- Buying Dragonite (150 Gems per 30 Dragonite)
- Occasional drop from Exalted Chests
That doesn’t add up. How many gnomes?

It’s the ex12 trick
They go into fights, and retreat till they get the dragonite gnome.
Then they wait till the times ended.
They kill it, it’s 100 dragonite.

Yes I no all the ways to get dragonite obviously, I’m saying the amount of eggs he’s bought, is like he found the dragonite vault at the bottom of depths of sin and raided it.
