In most other games when they hit a dead end they decide to try again with a sequel of sorts, maybe that is what is needed here?
Gems of War 2, complete fresh start, would be cool
No way, Puzzle Quest 4 is where it’s at. (Maybe 5 if you count the Space one)

I hate to be the bearer of likely bad news, but what you are witnessing is exactly what a Gems of War 2 would look like, if it were created from scratch today and launched on major platforms. It would surely have to have all of the monetization features of the last few updates to even have a chance of being remotely greenlighted by a publisher.

The team already stated on stream and elsewhere that they have no plans for a Gems of War 2, just continued development of the existing title.
