Well, good luck, with or without crossed fingers.
Best of luck!
closest thing to crossed fingers there is in the emojirange.
I got the job~~~ :does a happy dance: Thanks for the well wishes guys, I’m certain it helped
Congrats!
We’re all very happy for you, @Mitheithel. When can we expect our support checks to start arriving?
Grats @Mitheithel!
Now you can buy more gems!
That’s the hope
On that note, I want to get discussion here going again! Where do you people work? Or what do you go to school for? I’m always curious about professions, as there are a million interesting and unusual ones. This new job I am starting is a customer service position for a beer and wine homebrewing supply wholesaler. I already make my own beer at home, so this is a perfect job for me! So what do you do to make the world go round?
Sounds like a great job ! Congratulations !
I’m working in a pub where you can play boardgames.
I was a computer programmer. I did work on the DivX system (back when it was a DVD service from Circuit City), did some website backends, and created a DirectX interface for a nuerofeedback helmet. But I’m now “medically retired”, so spend my time gaming and tutoring high school/college math.
I also created the go-to guides for Everquest expansions from 2007 to 2011
Hello everyone,
I am currently a Software Engineer in the healthcare industry.
I have been developing applications and games since 1999.
I created StreetWarz.com, It was a Turn Based Web Browser game and lasted from 2000 to 2006.
I have also worked in the bitcoin/altcoin industry optimizing miners.
I have run IRC networks, mIRC scripting, and beyond.
I have been a hardcore gamer since coleco vision, atari, etc…
Some of my favorite games:
Final Fantasy 11
Final Fantasy 14
War Craft: Frozen Throne
Diablo: All of them
I have also played both Puzzle Quest 1 and 2, and completed them. I’m just sad I didn’t find out about gems of war until about a month ago. I would have been playing this since it was released. I have always been a Magic the Gathering fan since Series 1 and this game resembles it with additional strategy of the puzzle instead of luck of the land.
Glad to be a part of this community.
I did different jobs, including theatrical costume designer and insurance adjuster for worker’s compensation. Now I spend my time playing games and doing hand embroidery and quilting, plus taking care of my 3-year-old great-niece.
Freelance copywriter.
I’m a Games Designer
I do finance for a large company. CPG (consumer packaged goods). If anyone wants some tips about how products get sold from manufacturer to retailer, please ask.
Been playing games since the early 80s (both home gaming on those ancient consoles and arcades)
As I get older, I don’t play as much as I did, and I prefer a combo of shooters, Bethesda RPGs and simpler indie type games (I don’t think I can ever sink endless hours into games like Wizardry anymore even though it was fun back in the day with my brothers doing graph paper maps!).
It’s funny because back in the day, I’d memorize keyboard commands and such. But now, I just want to play games that are easy to control. So I guess I’ve transformed from core gamer to casual. LOL
I work in Corporate Finance for a large accountancy firm… It’s more fun than it sounds…
I’ve been working as a community manager in the video game industry for a few years now, although my background in English literature studies has turned me into a translator in almost all of my jobs.
And @Mitheithel made me thirsty for beer. It’s 10 AM here.
But you ARE in France, so that may be a little late to start drinking?
A bit early for the aperitif.
I am in accounting too. I started working in accountancy firms and ended as a Chief Financial Officer.
But currently I am a stay-at-home mother trying to work a little as a freelance.
