Streamline push alerts/notifications

There is only one kind of event I want to receive push notifications about: hour-long pet rescues.

To do this, I need to do the following things:

  • Allow notifications in my iPhone’s settings
  • Select “Enable alerts” in GoW
  • Select “Guild”
  • Select “Events”

Why must this be four steps? Why is it not two: phone settings and a single in-game selection. Forcing me to check “Enable alerts” is redundant since I then have to individually select what I want to receive. Further, why do pet rescues require me to check both the Guild and Events options?

It must be an iOS thing …

I’m not sure what you’re responding to with that screenshot. I have exactly the same options on iOS. But to get notifications about one thing (pet rescues) I need three different things selected there—plus allowing push alerts in the first place.

I’m saying I didn’t have to do any of that to get the alerts. Even all the notifications were turned on by default. I just had to deselect the PvP one cause I don’t care about Defense Rewards.
