I believe you. Just wanted to give information that Switch isn’t affected.
Could be it’s my region not the Switch platform. My region is Europe.
If it’s more of a bigger problem with the Internet the Devs most probably can’t do anything.

My internet connection can reach all the game servers (cod etc) except gow’s servers…

Dude, chill. There’s a problem with part of the internet, not only with GoW.
GoW is offline on Switch, XBox, PS4, Steam, Android and IOS… but its an “internet” problem, not a GoW problem? The rest of the internet seems fine (including this message board,) also, I have been playing Hearthstone.
Anyhoo, lets not jump to any conclusions yet. We will have to wait and see what the devs have to say about this… in their defence, I have often received compensation for “server issues” without even realising something went wrong.
If anyone has spent gems which are lost as a result of this, I would say put in a ticket, they know how many gems you have spent, and should be able to reimburse you.
Where can I open a ticket?

There’s no point arguing about who is right or wrong. It appears to me that the problem is with GoW servers, but I’m no expert, so I can’t say for certain.
Can we all agree to wait for the devs to comment?

Gow is hosting by Amazon servers, they rent them for using the server, if Amazon (the owners) has a problem it affects all the tenants , it’s the problem when you don’t own your server… and Gow can’t do anything to fix it, they have to wait as us

Think you want to travel between two cities. You can surely have different paths but let’s say that a road is closed. Yeah, the city is still there but you can reach it, you have to wait until the road opens. That’s what happens if amazon services are down, you can’t reach some of the internet services.
The devs of GoW don’t host their own servers. That costs A LOT of money.
So they use something called Amazon Web Services (AWS for short). Amazon essentially hosts the servers themselves for a fee, it’s a lot cheaper to do this, but it also gives access to a lot of different more technical stuff on the backend.
AWS is having issues with their servers and connections, which brought down a number of websites. Reddit uses AWS and was having issues earlier.
Think of it like you’re going to the mall.
You’re visiting a store in the mall when you connect to GoW.
The devs of GoW don’t own the mall itself, they’re just renting a store.
In this instance, the mall is having an issue, so you can’t enter the mall and visit a store.
Ok understood… But I hope devs refund me gems that I spent for playing. Cause atm I can’t playing… Aws fault, Amazon servers fault, 4 me is equal… I wanted to play spending my gems, and with this problem mex like thousand of people can’t play… So, hope in an answer on my ticket…

je joue sur le PC a gems of war grace a steam et le jeu ne veux me laisser acceder au jeu il me dit que le serveur refuse ma connexion et qu’il faut retenter le coup dans quelques minutes mais ca fait 3 fois que j’y laisse 25 minutes et c’est toujours pas résolu faites quelques choses sinon vais tout perdre coté connexion bonus avec ce plantage du jeu
