New Faction - Amanithrax

There’s always the option of doing it one day on August 20 with full rewards, but that’s also a bit harder and that path includes 6 less sigils. I was skipping the first day to do low level delves first for 2 days and then start the event.

I mean the message here is “you’re going to get some form of compensation, and there won’t be a fix” so if you were waiting to see if there’s a fix, there’s not.

That means it’s not a good idea to wait anymore. You’ll just lose time, and it takes a significant time investment to burn through this event.

I don’t really have any comment on the response because I don’t really have a strong feeling other than what I’ve already expressed. The situation is bad, and they have made a response, I’ve got better things to do with my weekend than worry about the rest.

We are in the process of discussing how we will calculate the compensation, so I can’t say more about it just yet.

We will put out a fix on Monday, which should give you several hours to complete the event then if that is your preference.

Playing from 3am to 9am on a workday feels about as enticing as migrating to Australia. Would it be an option to run the Delve event a few days longer, so that player who held back so far have a realistic chance of completing it once fixed?

@Saltypatra Thank you for letting us know.

I think a power orb for every active player would suffice. I feel like if the compensations cost y’all more. Then mistakes like this wouldn’t happen so frequently. (More than once a year is frequent on my scale. Others may see it differently.)

Beyond the compensation being discussed
I think the idea of an extra 24 hours for the event has merit - but to maximize how useful that would for people, they would need to know about that sooner rather than later

I think your best deal is to do the event right now and take the compensation.

The extra toenails and ingots aren’t worth that kind of stress, and if you were pushing for later levels you need time more than you need prizes anyway.

Boy did we get screwed YET again just cause they’re too lazy to test.

I wouldn’t be so harsh. It’ll get fixed and GOW will show love. IMHO

happens. One gets luvs 8)

BruisedBull, you obviously haven’t been around much.

Go check my profile. You’re right on being active on forums however. I’ve been playing gow since it came out.

This kind of sucks. Delves are hard enough.

I sincerely hope that the GoW Team recognizes this as an organizational decision, rather than just a general compensation issue.

I’ve been in this gamespace for over 2 years (fist bump all), and I my initial impression of the fairness of the game was absolutely a factor to my hanging in there and figuring things out. If I ever ran into an issue, I could count on compensation that felt fair. They used to slightly overcompensate, which was the thing that made it FEEL fair – I was getting compensated not only for my resource losses, but for the inconvenience of playing their busted game. As a Guild Leader, it made the game an easy sell to players frustrated by these types of frankly inevitable difficulties. I used to confidently advise anyone to take up their issue through a ticket, and prepare to be pleased.

The forums are now full of players (veteran and newbie alike) who don’t expect fair compensation for their gameplay when things go wrong. I clearly remember when all the Debbie/Derek Downers on the forums regarding compensation were immediately shot down by veterans with confidence that everything would be sorted properly. I know I can’t express that same confidence today, hence the most recent debacle AGAIN putting me in a position of having to figure out what the heck is going on and distill that into appropriate advice to my Guild. And all of that based on the understandably limited information and delayed response – again, these sorts of troubles are inevitable with the current organizational structure of IP2, and therefore predictable.

I understand there would be a cost in terms of the economy of the game as a result of returning to previous compensation levels for IP2 QA screw-ups. I also believe the player base would consider the relative cost the Developers have to pay for screwing up our gaming experience should serve as a strong deterrence against future screw-ups of the sort.

Alternatively, just take the extra money you get from not making any changes to improve your QA process. There are qualified people on these forums offering clear and obvious advice on controls that could prevent these issues from coming up. Are you getting enough from this change to reduce the issues that the expectation of fair compensation resolved? Is it worth it?

That’s what I took your usage of evident to mean.

But looks like we’re in agreement. :+1:

Agreed.
Its an event with a leaderboard.
Fixed boss room multiplier will have a big impact at the top ranks as it upscales with your progress.
As much as I appreciate the effort I also think its better to leave it as it is at this point.

Thats 3 am on a working day for us Europeans…just saying.

No need for that. The only option is compensation.

Some Chaos Shards and Vault Keys should do it.

only chaos shards are not worth it
i want the ingots, gold and glory i’m losing

Honestly if we get a bunch of chaos shards and thats it as a reward, Im gonna be pissed, and Im sure a lot of others as well will be.

While they are handy for those that are lower, for those like myself who compete every new delve, or those that compete every Tuesday as well, Shards are not important anymore.

Its easy enough to get 10-13k+ every month without daily delves.

I agree. I don’t play daily delves that much and shards still stack fast.
