I’m thinking whoever named that achievement/trophy is now kinda regretting that decision 
If they had just called it “100 carat gold” or something innocuous then some of this backlash may have been lessened.
Much like some recent decisions though, 20/20 hindsight…
Nah…they identified a completionist “geoff” guy and released the achievement. It s not his fault …it’s the devs.
Finally got the deed achievement and for the first time since the game came out, deleted it off of my XBox. Lvl 7 VIP hitting the showers. I know I’m just one person, but hopefully this whole thing brings awareness that achievement hunters are customers too. You wouldn’t believe how people in that community won’t even PLAY a game if it has even one glitched achievement, let alone a single one that takes over 100 hours on it’s own.
Now that the dust has settled I actually don’t mind this achievement as much as my first impression. I am enjoying the aspect of upgrading my troops further, and nice to have a long term goal to get the achievement. Yes, like others I like to have new achievements on this game the day they are released or ASAP (I’m over 6000 hours into this game, so have been around for a while).
The problem imo relates to how monotonous (and essentially boring) explore mode is. It is effectively repeating the same tactic with the same team over, and over, and over. Sure I could change my attacking team, but once you have found the quickest and most effective it seams pointless to do so. At least when previously farming PVP I could change to any of 20 plus teams just for a change, without much difference to my teams efficiency.
Add to the fact that pet gnomes still can’t be caught in explore, which are essential as they are a gated progress to kingdom star level, makes grinding explore mode for this achievement seem all the more unattractive.
