My Fair Lady

Well if you think it’s appropriate to spend thousands of dollars on any game you play have fun being broke. If this model takes over you’ll see how fun it is

At least this game is not like clash royal, even though it is free to play, it is by no means a game that can be played easily for free but unless you put years or decades into it, it is hardly worth the time spent. Gems of war is far superior. Also this game does not require and makes free to play easy.

Free to play in this game is not “easy” for anyone that is not in a good guild. By good I mean top 150ish.

Admittedly this game is a lot better than other F2P models, which is why I invested my time and money into this rather than other games, but now it is starting to turn in that direction which is what I am concerned about.

Ya but when i refer to “easy” i mean you do not have to spend 8 to 16 hours to get a new troop much less 3. Ya there are a lot of troops and they are hard to get, admittedly some easier than others. I do like the target a color, but i like targeting a rarity more because we have so many of one rarity over another. We do have many troops of a specific color but if troop targeting gets to easy yes getting a mythic will be too easy. The biggest problem with gems of war at this time is the guilds in my opinion, the next is the speed in which troops come out which to me is too many too soon. 3 troops this week, i wish it went back down to 1 troop a week. I understand that players want trait stones and this lets them get those harder to get stones but unlike others i am not in a hurry to gather trait stones.

Almost all top guild requires 300k gold and 300 trophy, and thats extremely easy to get.I got 100 trophy in 2 hours, and im only level 100,so its harder for me.So you can get everything very fast.

The collector inside me wants every card. Even Mythics.

But I know that I won’t get all cards in the game just by playing 1-2 hours a day. This is supported by the fact, that I already have many cards I want to experiment with. Takes a lot of time to level up said cards and eventually trait them.

Long story short. I open my keys, see what I get and move on. If I don’t get a new card, it’s not the end of the world for me.

EDIT: @ManaSurge 300k gold and 300 trophy is only extremely easy, if you’re willing to spend a lot of time in this game. I prefer playing some co-op games with friends. That’s more fun to me than spending hours in PVP mode.

The game isn’t turning into anything different than it has always been. They have made Glory easier to obtain, they have made Traitstones easier to obtain, and there are far more lucrative guilds than there was just a month ago. The argument can be made that the game is getting far easier than it was 6 months ago…but what do I know?

[quote=“Studs, post:118, topic:11059, full:true”]This is F2P, not Free.

The “F” in F2P LITERALLY stands for free…

Again only if you are in a really good guild where everyone else is doing the same or more of what you are doing. It has nothing to do with your own speed once you hit the guild requirement (which is easy to do in most cases) and everything to do with what the other 29 people are doing.

That’s because they are gradually phasing out the strategy aspect. Been this way since Drifting Sands

In some ways it is easier. Easier to get gold, easier to get trait stones, yes. But now it is harder to get the things you actually need - the troop themselves. Sending this game in more of a pay to win scenario

Personally, I’d trade our buffs to trait stones and gold to have a better chance at getting the cards.

Than change your guild,Tacet second guild for example is still need 7 people, and most people there are doing more than 300k gold.(If you are a pc player)

Im not even going to get into this conversation… I’m not going to leave a guild of people that I like just to be able to play this game for free.

I don’t mind spending money.
I do mind spending a LOT of money to get the same stuff people get for free. If the gap was smaller, we wouldn’t even be having this conversation.

Obviously people in a top guild are going to get more. I’m not saying that they shouldn’t. I’m saying that I shouldn’t have to spend hundreds of dollars every week to play catch up to them because that is not how much their time should be worth. Especially as you just pointed out how easy it is. The only "hard " part is finding other people that are also doing the same or more than you.

And still the problem resides in the fact that your own progress is not getting rewarded. You are getting rewarded for what everyone else is doing. And if you don’t see how that’s wrong then I don’t know what else to tell you

@Mekkalyn

If you choose to not join a top-level Guild then your entire complaint/rant against them is invalid.

You are entitled to nothing in life. You want big rewards? Earn them by joining a top-level Guild.

I tried to help, thats all.But dont call the game pay to win just because you dont want to leave your guild. My friend got everything, even the mythics in less than 2 months, and he was not in the best guild in the game.If you are with a bunch of friends i understand, but dont expect to get everything,if you are doing nothing(most likely your guild in this case)

My guild is in the top 100. We are friendly to newer players and do not have extreme requirements. I used to pull 500k+ gold a week, but now with mythics and these changes I’m pulling back my time spent and giving my time and money to other companies.

And you people are driving me crazy. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE IN A TOP GUILD IN ORDER TO GET THINGS!!!

I’m done beating my head against a wall to entitled top players who think their time is worth hundreds of dollars and say to join a top guild or spend HUNDREDS of dollars. Does no one else have a comprehension of how much money that is and how quickly that adds up?

so, what, it’s just be an elitist or spend a lot of money? Don’t care about anybody that is lower level and needs help/tips that you get from more experienced players?

I’m done. Thanks for getting me all worked up Gems of War :stuck_out_tongue:

Do you want to say, that we have to join a top-level guild in order to discuss their role in the game?

You see, that’s exactly the reason, why I hold a huge dislike against top-level players/guilds/whatever in any games. As a filthy common player where friends mean more to you than simple ressource numbers or I’m not allowed to even talk negative about you?

I’m not saying this because I’m not getting many rewards for doing “nothing”. I’m saying this, because I always have the feeling in this very forum, that my word has no value against someone who is at the top. Oh well, maybe I’m just stating the obvious.

I’m done with my comment. Feel free to bash my skull into dust if you want.

I 100% agree, and that is another can of worms all to itself.

Nope. We receive far less gold than we used too. There used to be players worth $5000 base gold everyday. Farming gold was an actual thing. Now it is non-existent.

Yes. More troops means you get a far less “chance” of getting what you want, but that is the very nature of RNG. I didn’t receive Sheggra until lvl 750 and Keeper of Souls until lvl 850. RNG is brutal no matter how you see it, and I am in the number 1 guild on PC. I have learned it pays to be patient in this game.

There are too many good guilds in this game. Many of your frustrations spawn from not having like-minded individuals. If you want more troops, join guilds where contributing is a requirement.

You don’t need to scale a mountain; if you can watch the sunset from your doorstep.

As someone who wants to stay under level 200 (i failed and am now over level 200.) Personally i think that as a low level player who plays less than 10 hours a week should get what they earn same as those in top guilds but i dislike top guilds not because they have players who play a lot of games or gain a lot of resources but because their growth seems to be exponential. I think that the guild update will fix this, but if it doesn’t then no hair off my back.
