i’m glad i can finally finish mab traits with that nice trait stone reward for 400 glory

Congrats @Namour

Now if I could get just one I will be happy. I also only need one Gloom Leaf for mythic.

@Sirrian is the description right ?

102 event keys for me to get the dragon, pretty much right on the mark with my prediction. (I got two Gloom Leaf as well) I wasn’t unreasonably unlucky… this time. If I’m able to keep up the trend at our guild’s current resource gathering, I should still be able to get the legends released like this. I’m just kind of out of the running for mythics altogether, and I’ll probably never get to buy another VIP chest.

Which reminds me, Gloom Leaf is another legendary that could use a rework.

Currently, event chests are a 50% increase in price over gem chests, but the degree of specificity is much higher (like 30x when dealing with a single legendary). A 5 or 10% increase in price would have color chests be roughly similar. Personally, I think “kingdom chests” should be added, costing 1 glory key, 2 gold keys, and a single gem, and give you a random troop of any rarity from the kingdom, with legendaries being somewhere in the 1/300 range. An average of 300 gems, 300 glory keys, and 600 gold keys (or 180k gold) is pretty close in cost of 50 event chests. Throw in some garbage/filler drops like traitstones on the commons/rare table if you think that is too generous for getting these to mythics. Still a much higher cost for the specificity, but it gives a better way to focus down those commons/rares that you can’t even get during an event week. Most importantly, it needs to be available at any given week. Maybe even tie it to your home kingdom to ease needing too many added interface elements.

Finding this isn’t exactly a straight counter to Maw-Mercy. Fun though.

I’ve been playing with:

Emperor Khorvash
Sylvanimora
Green Seer
Valkyrie

Working reasonably well so far. The combination of trait denial and mana drain from Khorvash as well as the skull attack denial from Sylvanimora is potent (so long as the enemy isn’t fronting Impervious troops).

I didn’t read any of that and just looked at the image. I thought they actually implemented that. :frowning:

Now I want it so bad. xD

Personally I think having 3 new troops is fantastic. If you dont have enough resources to buy 10 of each then so be it. The more content the better

I think sylvanimora is too slow, would be better with 14 of mana :kissing_smiling_eyes:

This is a fantastic idea! We are running into the problem of troop dilution, especially for those players that are newer to the game. Heck even if we had to combine keys to specifically target a color I would be fine with it (4x gold keys for one blue chest for example).

I was going to suggest as a feature request to have Kingdoms set up as a “Classic” and various “Expansion” series to target specific troops but your idea is so much more sleeker:)

The problem is that top players + top guilds = exponential growth in the end-game economy, hoarding of resources, and the ability to instantly “mythic” every new troop.

The top guilds almost always have very high trophy/gold requirements. The only people that can meet them are the people that play PvP exclusively because they literally have NOTHING ELSE TO DO.

They’ve already collected all the troops (due to the number of keys and gems they get from their guild), they’ve already traited almost all of them (again due to the number of stones they get from chests), and they’re literally left with nothing to do but pump endless amounts of gold into their guilds. You have 30 top players that can play REALISTICALLY 250-300 PvP matches a week and well, you do the math…

Now before anybody jumps in to defend the top guilds and their members, don’t misunderstand what I’m saying.

The problem is, AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN, the end-game economy, particularly the level cap. I truly believe what you’re seeing now is what economists call a “market correction”. They’re clearing out resource hoards in preparation for the 2.1 guild patch and (IMHO) near-term raising of the level cap.

It’s the only thing that makes sense. The only way to keep top players from hoarding resources is to give them reasons to use them.

[quote=“Studs, post:90, topic:11059, full:true”] Unless you’re spending serious money. That’s how F2P has to work for the game to stay alive.

I don’t think you know what F2P means…

Lol I think you’re wrong.
You are meant to have everything or it would be so much harder to get them.

Mythics are very rare. I’d love to see the numbers of players who have them so we could compare.

Personally I only have one of them.

Legendaries are a step under.
They are rarer than epics, which are rare themselves.
You get less blues than greens, too.
You only get commons from gold chests otherwise I’d say you get more of those than anything else, but since they aren’t in glory and some people don’t spend gold on gold chests that isn’t always true.

The rarities have a comfortable stepping stone of difficulty that makes sense for the game and the community.

so, in short, the problem isn’t the drop rates or that players want to get everything for nothing. This game is a gamble. You can spend hundreds of dollars and get no mythics or new legendaries. Do you consider that as people who want everything for free?

No, I’m saying that’s the way any F2P game works and this is no different. The only reason why there’s any complaints is bc they misbalanced the guild tasks system and as a result made it too easy to get Legendaries and Mythics. There’s no way it was deliberate that everyone in a top guild would be able to grind so effectively that there would be no reason to spend money. There should be no expectation that you will ever own all of the troops, unless you’re spending hundreds/thousands of dollars. Not only does every successful F2P game work this way, but so do card games like Magic, Pokemon, etc.

This is the best suggestion I’ve seen.
Would love to see this included in the game at some point. Maybe when they add more legendaries to each kingdom. Makes it so there’s a way to target something that you want at a bigger cost which will still make you want to spend money on the game to target down a specific thing. Feels a lot better than buying gems and throwing it at gem chests or VIP chests

And the fact that they expect every player to give them thousands of dollars to get things that are essential to the game is sad and disconcerting

Priorities people, priorities. That kind of money is such a huge waste to put into a free to play game

The fact that you think you can get everything for nothing is silly. This is F2P, not Free.

Again with the everything for nothing.
You do realize that getting everything for a reasonable price exists right?

No where have I said that you should spend nothing to get everything. You should have to spend something. You should not have to spend thousands of dollars.

That’s called a Paid game, which this is not.
