Merchant Steam Achievement “What can I do for you” not counting encounter for some reason. I already filled a bug report on it.
Those things only refresh on Steam, when you exit the game. Happens in some games, in others it does not. No idea, why.
If you get all ten in a run, it will of course give you the achievement anyhow, even if it’s still showing zero in the progress counter before.
Don’t forget to close your support ticket, if you haven’t already. 
It seems hit or miss. My Merchant achievement counter updated in real time, while the Daemon one didn’t until I logged out of the game.
This is wild speculation, but I wonder if only 1 counter can update in real time? I encountered a Merchant first, so that counter started first. Maybe OP encountered a Daemon first?
I haven’t had 4 in a row count on Xbox…with several. Console resets. I’ve had 6 and only got credit for the first 2.
