[Investigating] Crazy Invasion reward thresholds

I’m pretty sure it was quite a bit less than that. Weekend Invasion could be completed with half the guild buying tier 3, the other half playing mostly free sigils. The average buy-in for world events running the whole week has been set around tier 2 for years now. Even moving that bar to tier 4 - 5 feels very excessive, shop tier costs rise exponentially, that’s almost 10 times the old cost.

Extra rewards cost extra gems. Makes sense to me. We trying to get extra stuff for no extra effort? Maybe im misunderstanding. The way the game usually works is the higher something goes the harder it gets. Class levels lvl 1 is 1 2 is 2 3 takes 3 etc. Why would 16 take 12?

Plus you dont always have to do everything ya know. You will be much happier when u realize this. Your not a spaceman and an nba player and a plumber right? Well you dont have to do every single thing presented to you in the game either.

I think they had it 2 high but i also expect to give a little more to get a little more not to do the same for more…

Yes, you are. They set the ones up to 12 too high.

No one said the extra rewards can’t need some extra gems.

Invasion has always been the more expensive event. Our guild easily completes every event, with Invasion being the only one that may not be completed on a regular basis. They should have changed the requirements to be less than what it was before, not more. Now I’m worried about any new changes that’ll be made to other weekly events (Raid, TOD, Journey).

Ok we on like 11 i didnt notice

Wonder if we’ll see a fix this before this event ends or if it will get implemented “next time”. Didn’t something similar happen with the Journey event when it first launched? And while a fix would come, it wasn’t going to be able to pushed out onto the current event for “reasons”.

The scoring adjustments are currently being released to live, it might take a little while to finish releasing.

I’ll be keeping an eye on things here to make sure everything has gone smoothly for you folks.

Sorry just read up a bit in the thread after posting this.
The new real money purchases being taken into account for the new scoring for tier 12 was part of the problem. My understanding is that the team have been adjusting the algorithm to remove this from the calculations.

Score reqs have been adjusted on mobile

We’re on 12 now after the adjustment. (about 800 in)

Before we had finished 10, but a lot of players have bought extra tiers. Something that wouldn’t be sustainable in the long run.

It’s not only expensive but a lot of extra play. With underspire, it’s a bit much for some.

Not everyone is a “hardcore” player in the sense of playing a lot (I am but I have the time).

Stage 13 to 16 was increased by 500 each. Can someone calculate the new total requirement?

We’ve cleared the 12th reward tier as of the adjustment.

We’re an event-focussed guild and haven’t failed to get all event rewards since I joined the guild 3.5 years ago. I was worried with the original scoring for the 16 tiers, but am more confident we can continue clearing all events after this adjustment.

New single user total in full guild = 583 towers killed vs. earlier 667.

1st day 176 towers

6 days * 4 sigils per day = 24 sigils
Valraven multiplier: 2.25

Free sigils: 54

54 sigils x 8 towers = 432 towers.

432 + 176 = 608 kills with 4 packs.

Looks like it’s still Tier IV but atleast nobody has to purchase more as it looked like before the adjustment.

It’s still a bit too much if this is intended to be the average cost of weekly guild events. Forget about the time spent playing on all the various game modes - I get that they want the new, shiny resources to seem more valuable by making us work harder and spend more for them. But none of them are more valuable than gems. Every other resources, even gold, loses it’s value with enough time. I hope this isn’t the final change to guild event scoring/cost.

You are not to blame, you are just the messenger, but please. No it really isnt difficult to compare - you have all the number from before it was changed to a weekend event. You know exactly what it takes and hope for people to buy your booster packs to be able to keep up. Unless you let a bot do the calculations and programmed it to focus on being able to make the most money and then can’t be bothered to test your new content… Wouldn’t be the first time and after you have to correct/adjust it
And yes some will buy the booster packs, but most wont and you just add more frustration to the playerbase.

Tier 4 -5 to complete any week-long events? Possibly with the first World Event and possibly with the test World Event you did with Inari having to spawn the right place on the map.
Other than that, I can’t think of any events where 4-5 tiers events to get all rewards done.

Yes but you can still close T12 with t1 or 2 buy in. To get 13 - 16 you would need more shop tiers

Does this mean we get a partial refund on buying the 1,350 gem pack thinking we had to have this kind of level to help our guild get all rewards? I mean C’mon this is complete BS

Yep, we had several members including myself buy the 1350 to help the guild complete the event. I would of just done tier 4 if I knew it was going to to be changed.

After we get the rewards, for our guild, I’m out, tired of the constant bugs, and devs failing the player base, I really tried to hang on, but this is beyond hopeless.
