Thank you for your reply!
As you all know, that was most members buying to tier 4-5 and every guild member participating in the event.
I’ve been playing this game for a few years, and I can’t remember any event that required tier 5 to complete.

A lot of members in my guild bought tier 6 when gems are tight due to all the new modes this week. Hopefully a refund or compensation to the new required amount for all guild members to complete?
But they couldn’t buy if they didn’t have gems. And they saw what they were buying. This is not related to the dishonest event scale
Paid booster packs are being taken into account in score scaling? Shouldn’t such paid packs be a help rather than a requirement? Otherwise it feels like you’re deliberately creating a problem so you can sell a solution. Paid bundles should offer something positive rather than removing a negative.
I personally thought the totals needed seemed really excessive.
3 of us in my guild bought multiple tier 7s and we had 3 members in the top 10 on the leaderboard…everyone in the guild has taken part and we are currently ¾ of the way to completing tier 12!!
If you’re basing the goal based on pay to play options then you’ve defeated the purpose of it.
Players should be able to buy the packs so they may play the game less than they would if they didn’t buy the pack.
It’s not a “boost” if it still requires the same amount of effort as they did previously for years without said booster packs existing.
I know you want to sell the boosters but it’s very unrealistic of you to expect 30 players in each guild to buy 2 boosters, especially at the price point you’ve set which is way too high.
It’s a whales be whaling type of offer, too expensive for an “oh, why not?” purchase.
Also, most of my guild members usually bought tier 2 to 3 for events, not 4 to 5.
Okay. Just tell me one thing, guys. HOW MANY points the Guild should collect? Bc Stage 1-10 the numbers have grown, but from S11 it’s started from 0. How many points needed for S12? 4100 or 4100-3400 (700)?
And S1-10 we must collect 3000 points, and S11-16 is 13 000? Or 13 000-700? How do you count this? What’s the logic? I don’t see any. :s
Hmmm.
I think we have a real issue here when there is such odd data coming back. There has been no event ever that needs everyone to buy T5. And no there shouldn’t be ever either.
Keeping 30 players playing as guilds is hugely challenging as guild leaders know. We’ve just kicked the old reqs out of the stadium. How are we going to get 30 players in all guilds week in week out playing T5+ every week all the time on events and doing everything else? It’s just crackers - it’s not as if the game is diverse and expansive. It’s going to burn out so many and break the will to play.
Honestly, can we at least think about what we are doing a little bit more…
Some of my alliance mates got together and came up with these numbers. Umm, it looks like a little more than double points. More like 3 1/2 times.
Someone feel free to double check these numbers.
Could you repeat this one more time to make sure I’m hearing correctly? You set up required score with assumption that people must buy your “booster packs” for robbery-in-broad-daylight prices? Really?
Oh, the greed.
Well, at least the keys will largely remain shiny and unused.
3 1/2 times more?! Unbelievable! That’s a huge slap in the face of members of non-hardcore guilds.
I’ll repeat myself (and other players): the game has NEVER required us to buy tier 5 to complete events.
Why is everything done to rage the players?
Can’t those who are in charge understand that unhappy customers are non-paying customers???
This has been done with free players in mind – players should be able to achieve similar rewards for free as they did previously.
7.0 scoring is tuned to take into account new features that have been added to the game. For example, the new event booster packs
I must have misinterpreted something.
The event booster packs don’t even give you the items listed. Do not buy them!
Keep in mind that 3.5 times is the current requirement. This is still before the scoring requirement change.
We took another look at the scoring and we agree it’s tuned too high.
So in terms of the actual numbers, even after we’ve revised it, the scores required may still be higher than previously, but should overall require roughly the same amount of effort from a guild as before to achieve tier 12.
Thanks for raising this topic and I’ll let you know once the latest scoring changes have gone out.
Hopefully it isn’t as bad as it sounds, with requirements of buying tiers 4 - 5, and that part was just a mistake.
EDIT: Oh, right. I completely forgot Hazard1 already calculated the average buy-in for the event in its current state. They calculated tier 4 for a full guild, maybe tier 5 conservatively. If they’re reducing requirements, it should be even lower then. Maybe tier 3 - 4?
Tier 2 (3 at most)should get you to finish stage 12.
Then we can talk about the extra rewards and investment of extra gems.
Then it would be “roughly the same as before to get the same rewards” (plus 1 shiny key, but that gives you what, 1 to 3 tokens of 30 you need for just one troop of an ever increasing pool - neglectable)
Hey there @Kafka, I don’t really know that. My guild always completes events and we require free sigil use only, although most of us do buy to tier III. I cannot imagine why this would have changed with 7.0, other than just a plain gem sink. If that’s what it is, fine, please ask the team to just say it —so all of the guilds know what we’re actually looking at and what the real deal is.
I agree. I don’t know of any event that required t4 or 5 to finish. Not sure where they got that number from, but it’s not from real play.
Council of Chiefs?
No, most members would buy tier 0-2. Many events were able to be completed with tier 0 or 1, even with members doing 1/30 (i.e. a ‘fair split’) of the effort required. The couple events that required T5-T6, such as the very first ever World Event (Council of Chiefs, as noted by the post above mine) were considered massively awful outliers if not outright mistakes by the community - at least the community here and on the Discords I’m a member of.

Please understand how big a mistake this is. Setting score levels on the assumption people will buy OPTIONAL CONTENT makes the content no longer optional. Pay to finish faster is tolerable. Pay to finish is not.
If the re-balanced scoring is going to be similar to the previous style of events, it needs to settle in the tier 2-tier 3 range at most without boosters, with tier 3 being a fairly rare occurrence.
