So when we have a delve event on the weekend, there is still another delve event on Tuesday. But when there is a class event on the weekend, the class event on Thursday is skipped (like today).
Any reason why these events a treated differently?

Class events are uniquely terrible in many ways.

Probably because that would mean back to back class events. Faction events at least have a 2 day gap.
