As suspected turning off combo breaker was a terrible idea

I doubt don’t really care either way really, it doesn’t seem to affect my win rate or my time paying that much.

I DO however think there should be a ladder for those that wasn’t it off, and a “casual mode” for those who don’t. The way hearthstone does it is my best example.

You could even award 0 trophies for casual games. Or 1 trophy for casual, 2 for ladder.

If they did that it might split the community from the hardcore gamer to the casual gamer. i am a filthy casual gamer nyaa.

And the problem of that is…? I’m not asking for worse rewards for casual players, just nice rewards for people who want to play with a challenge, any “warlord” difficulty reward is pretty bs right now.

Let the PvP system as it is right now for casuals and for a new ranked system, make it scale to w4 until next week or season reset, give all the matches a triple reward than normal mode and give at least meaningless rewards to the best placed up people, like an in-game title or just some worthless souls/gold.

I would totally be playing w4 right now if it gave an actual reward, right now it’s barely 1k more gold…

Part of the issue here is that we have some fairly unrealistic expectations based on the last patch or two.

Skeletons and True-Shot troops and so on made the game extremely unhealthy. Games ending in 1-2 minutes without the AI getting a single turn? Does that sound particularly fair to you? It shouldn’t. So while we did that for a couple of months, we got it into our heads that this was the game now, and not some series of crazy overpowered things that shouldn’t have been there.

So now that the game takes a bit longer than it did, people have gone and chalked that up to the game getting harder. Sure, its gotten harder, but its probably more in line with 1.0.6 or 1.0.5. Which is probably where it should be.

I completely agree. 1.0.9 got rid of the 80% trueshot/agile teams in PVP. Outside of the rather large number of goblin teams there is more variation again in PVP

Combo breaker and difficulty settings are fine right now. I expect that recall bias is at the root of the problem for the combo breaker complaints because the effect of combo breaker is negligible, and I get more lucky cascades than the AI anyway. And if there is going to be a real ladder in 2.0 then the variable difficulty settings had to go (might have been beter to do this in 2.0 with the introduction of the ladder though)…

I completely agree with this, Warlord (4) is just not a fun level to play at.

I agree with Serale, the rewards should match the difficulty, it is not worth it for me to be interested in it now either.
