Yes. I’ve over 3m souls. I still mass disenchant surplus troops. Don’t want 'em cluttering up the place.

What if you need lot of troop for crafting?

Then the devs will have another riot on their hands as a significant percentage of the population will have been screwed out of the deal. I can’t imagine the devs would repeat this mistake from when they introduced ascension. However, all other things being equal, I’m not sure why someone who is neither troop-starved nor souls-starved would take the risk.

But it would make a “perfect” pattern as we just got a one click mass Disenchant everything in your collection on console. History doesn’t repeat but it does rhyme.

In the bright side this would shift the focus of the community away from Famine/DM/Devour.

I stopped mass disenchanting a few months ago. I’m up to 42k cards. We’ll see how crafting works, but I’ve got a lot of many resources. I’m way behind @Jainus at 1.5m souls. I’ve been playing about 9 months. Next week I’ll finally have everything fully traited.

So… I don’t want to say that we will NEVER need excess troop cards again, because I don’t have a crystal ball to see that far ahead. We don’t have anything PLANNED in the next 3-4 months that will require excess cards, but the possibility is always there (as Pasa says) that we may add another rarity one day in the far future. That’s the ONLY reason I could imagine requiring more cards though… there’s enough things to improve on a troop now without adding an extra system.
