Enough of the peeing contest already you two.
@eika and @Strawnyy take it to PMs. This thread is in regards to the issue of the weekly reset not applying correctly. Keep it on topic.
What is the status of the reset taking effect if I may ask please?
When is the reset bug gong to be fixed? I assume people are in the office now?
Thank you for the quick response to my question. Also, thank you for the quick attention in to attending this situation. Happy New Years to you and your families.
Yup, that’s it.
The thing is, it’s not even like I disagree. When I found the game in August, it was a wonderful, vibrant fantasy game even me with my vision disability could play. Now it’s a Sci-Fi crapfest with for me unreadable numbers, migraine-inducing particles and parts of the game (treasure hunt) have become completely unplayable thanks to the horrible background and semi-transparent board. The game has gone absolutely downhill.
But the fact that I spent money in the past does at no point entitle me to demand that things stay like I want them to be. It also doesn’t entitle me to demand that the game stays online at all times. Heck, a game I played in the part (and I had spent a LOT of money on) just suddenly went offline. Company disbanded, that’s it. But that’s the risk when spending money on an online game. If I would want a game that never changes, I would buy some old console one-player game. Spending money on a constantly developed game means I might spend money on something that suddenly becomes unplayable for various reasons or might be gone tomorrow for good. That’s personal risk. If I do it anyway, my choice. I don’t have to like what they do to the game… but it is always my choice to stop playing at any time.
In my eyes, people who only complain but still play ten hours a day are pretty much just trolls. If you hate it, stop playing. If you love it enough to play all day, don’t complain. I cut my gaming time from six hours a day to maybe two at most thanks to the particles and spent less money. If they change things, good, they get more money. If they make things even worse, I will stop playing when it’s fully unplayable. If things stay that way, we’ll see. In the end, spending money and sticking around is my own decision. If the devs make a change I hate, but which brings in new players, that’s their good right and the way to run a successful game. I have to accept that, too… especially since I don’t own a smartphone and games get more and more optimized for that crap.
And I have to keep all that in mind when I spend money… and have no right to complain if I do and don’t like things.
That’s my two cents.
Personally I think GW should be cancelled this week, doesn’t seem ‘fair’ that many people cannot set GW def teams for tomorrow without having to rely on a workaround or upgrade Sentinels now at this late hour. A lot will be asleep/busy IRL when the fix is finally deployed…
I appreciate that we are all in the same boat and the devs are at work trying to fix the reset problem, but I think there are going to be even more complaints/annoyed players otherwise.
I’ll give you ++++++++++10 this !!!
@sirrian @nimhain People in my guild are reporting not receiving the Guild Tasks even after multiple logins. Do they need to submit tickets?
NowayJoe2Go
I finally forced the issue after logging and out of the desktop by going to the Android phone and having to log in there. One of my two accounts now has gotten the tasks email.
I have logged in from PC repeatedly and my Android phone twice … no task rewards. There’s a notification I have mail, but the mailbox is empty when I open it.
You might want to try later after the daily reset and check if your rewards appears. If not, you will have to contact the support. This is not the answer you, or anyone, would like to see, but give some time and things should get sorted out.
Do a battle.
Completing a task solved the problem for me.
And all research on the subject would tend to back you up.
Though I’m an admirer of his, I blame Steve Jobs for infecting the industry (and probably bringing about his own untimely death) with the “Working 90 hours a week and loving it!” meme.
If you’ll permit the sacrilege (and possible misinformation), I’m pretty sure it was trying to treat pancreatic cancer with hopes and dreams that caused Steve Jobs’s untimely demise.
You’re mostly right, but it was also how he lived his life.
People don’t want to hear it, but long life is mostly a matter of genetics.
But in terms of lifestyle choices that shorten our lives, stress is right up there with smoking and poor diet.
Getting off-topic, but on a societal level if everyone worked less there would be more good jobs to go around!
