(!) Spoiler Alert (!) -- [Any Details Provided are Subject to Change] (Part 1)

I’m guessing it is just so you can have a new appearance. (most of us have better Armor Bonuses already).

The wild , bestial and savage armor are already out.

Well at least on xbox

As far as looks go, they’re cool. I love the shadow armor. I don’t think i’d ever purchase any or think of using them though as i’d rather look less fashionable and receive better bonuses. I was hoping for 1000 gem armor as well. Not much use for these for higher level players.

Maybe I misunderstood but you do know you can have an armor appearance of anything you want and a armor bonus of your best armor. They aren’t the same. (just making sure)

Yes and don’t count on me to waste precious gems just for appearence

LOL…

aye, that’s what I’m figuring.

My question then would be… How would the Devs be able to top the Dragon/Celestial Armors and the Deathknight Armors?

add non-gold/soul/xp bonuses like an armor that gives you +1 glory after each battle

That wouldn’t work. Why sacrifice extra gold, souls and xp for one glory?

Well, I’m not pitching the balance, just an idea. Feel free to add gold, souls, or xp with that kind of bonus.

The theory is, if you do enough battles, it adds up after awhile.

If I’m exploring and not soul farming, souls aren’t that important.
At my level, xp farming doesn’t appeal to me.
Gold is always nice, but then you can consider if its worth sacrificing gold for a different extra bonus

What are you going to do to top Deathknight armor, add even more stats? Considering they lowered the value of Ring of Wonder, I really doubt they want to add something with more bonuses.

If the glory reward extended to explores, it could be a decent. One glory instead of a couple hundred gold and four souls. Even then, though, just the xp might get me more glory per 100 battles than 1 glory per battle since I get 100 glory when leveling, and either way, that is a drop in the bucket. I’d never use anything less than 100% gold bonus for PvP, though, unless the other gains were massive or unique. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t make much use of any armor that I needed to switch frequently to maximize my rewards playing different modes. The Deathknight Armor is just really convenient right now, and the biggest benefit I’ve gotten from it is that I haven’t touched my armor menu since I got it.

I’ll agree while some of these look pretty nice cosmetically (on your rarely seen at full size hero sprite), their respective stats probably don’t warrant their cost for beginners either. Dwarven or Viking to start with and then jumping straight to Dragon/Celestial (or even Spider) is usually a far more sensible choice. I still have to question why bonus xp is giving equal weight on “value” as an armor stat when xp bonus is by far the worst one to have and is effectively just bait for newer players at this point. Ebon, for example, looks almost like a viable alternative to Spider, but since it gives 25% more bonus “points” I also fully expect it to cost more, when Spider Armor’s biggest appeal is probably that it doesn’t give any xp bonus, not artificially boosting a player’s level when they are trying to farm as well as making it by far the best armor in its cost bracket. Some budget 100/0/0 and 0/100/0 armors would have been nice to see.

Speaking of which how do we USE this Ring of Wonder? I’ve seen it in the specials, but not sure if that’s something that can be worn in ADDITION to the armor, or what.

Would love it if someone could enlighten on how one equips this ring

I think you just need to buy it and it will automatically equip and then add the bonus to your current bonus and after 28 days it will unequip

I like the glory armour idea. I would also consider buying a new armour if it gave diamonds (doubt it) or shards (possible). Maybe seals?

This is correct

It does stack with armor.

So next week we get a common, a rare, and a legendary troop? So to ascend all to mythic we need +30k glory and 200-600 event keys? Worst possible combination? Could they change the way event chests work soon!

[/end of irrelevant rant]

I don’t mind it. I’ll just wait until next week, the new kingdom, and most of next month’s event troops show up in Gold chests and scoop them up all at the same time. (buying limited copies of each with glory) Meanwhile I can save glory for other things, like a few extra pulls from the new Kingdom event.

It takes a month for the new common and rare troops to enter gold chests yes? That’s if the devs remember to put them there? What if the next kingdom comes before February?

Depends, you trying for a 5* Kingdom day 1? Then do what you want.

Otherwise, next month is going to be very pricey glory-wise if you want to mythic all of those commons coming out.

Fixing the event chest isn’t going to be as glorious as you think it’ll be. Right now, those non-event kingdom troops are dropping at a reduced rate compared to the event kingdom troops. If they remove the non-event kingdom troops for the commons and rares, they’re going to adjust the drop rates to even the distribution out (or worse, favor the commons and rares). Its very likely a lot less of the UR+ rarity cards will drop.
