Should I trait troops at their lowest rarity?

This is a noob question I think. If I am going to fully trait a troop, should I do it when they are at their lowest rarity? If so, I’ve messed up and ascended troops before I traited them.

Trait costs are based on base rarity and will not increase with Ascension.

Trait costs and Ascending have no impact on each other.

If you trait a troop as a common, then ascend to mythic is will be the exact same as ascending to mythic and then traiting it.

Also traiting troops in ANY rarity also brings up your kingdom level. So if your reaching for a certain amount of stars, then trait and level ALL troops in that specific kingdom.
