I built Black Aby as well, though I called it- Feed the Beast
I built a deck around the Grand Inquisitor and called it “Nobody expects”
EDIT: Team name for accuracy’s sake, sorry @Dddd

I also have an all knight team called allknight mate (because “alright mate?” is a traditional greeting round my part of the world) but it’s not actually a very good team…
My invade team is called “all you can eat”.
Current deff team is called “brain drain” (because they all drain mana)
@efh313 and @Dddd, I think you have a larger character limit for team names than I do! =p I’d never even try “Anariel’s Apocalypse” or “Nobody expects the…” because I’m sure (wrong or not) it won’t fit there
I said it’s actually called Anariels Apocaly! I was honest about that!
Not sure what @efh313 's excuse is
Edit: thanks!

I vote for as much gold as you guys accept up to 500k, any number of seals between 1,000 and 1,500… and 0 trophies (we’ll all get at least about 100 anyway)… I can try 200, but more than that is definitely a no-no for me… I’d actually lower the requirements to 100 trophies, to give a more realistic number than 0…
I honestly think trophies are not worth the trouble… sure, they’re nice as a side-effect, but getting 100 more gold per day after each 100k we collect is ridiculously useless… I mean, we have 250k total, accumulated from the beginning of the guild… The only real (but subjective) benefit from winning trophies is the personal satisfaction of beating others, which I honestly don’t have, not one bit.
EDIT: Posted here because, you know, chat will delete my messages.
Also, I think we’ll get trophies naturally as we raise the gold demand. I just like to give people the option to ignore pvp on a given week and focus really hard on Explore, for example, as long as they contribute the same in gold to the guild.
As I said, I tend to agree, I just know that a past goal was to continue to strive for the top of the leaderboards which we have accomplished coming from ~170s to ~30 since the summer, but now I do want to see us continue…
I suppose I became personally interested and invested in the climb!
I think it’s good to keep pushing for trophies, but gold requirements will almost always result in trophies because PvP is (currently) by far and away the fastest way to get gold. I don’t think the trophy requirement needs to be much higher than it is already tbh
Another argument against raising trophies is that I can get gold much quickier (time-wise, not per battle) on “easy” pvp fights. More gold means more donation. Having a higher trophy requirement will make me pick hard fights more often, lowering the gold I can get.
As someone who has been running this boat for over a year now. At first trophies don’t seem beneficial, but they are actually the most important of the resources
The more you have, the more proof of guild strength. Those that earn the most trophies are the ones that will have the most seals and the most gold. A guild that made 20k trophies in a week will have more gold then a guild that made 10k trophies in 99% situations. People will join the guild that makes the most trophies. Before I struggled to get a new member in that will actually be good for guild (that won’t join for a free ride, contribute nothing, and just take rewards). Now I don’t have such problems, I can always recruit at least a decent new member. That’s because our trophy total, no other reason. Because we are ranked high with that trophy total. I can’t recruit top 100 pvp players because we are not top 10 trophy earners. Those players search for those guilds. So I try to find the perfect balance between not setting high requirements, while keeping them high enough to be able to find above average players to join us.
I agree mako that I’d rather have all 30 members donate 1m gold, and get any amount of trophies they want. But it’s much more realistic case that everyone gets at least set amount of trophies then getting those donation numbers.
One thing I can promise that our trophy requirements won’t ever go above 200, no matter if we set it to 200 from next week or not.
Also if anyone is wondering, some long term ideal requirements for our guild would be 1500 seals, 200 trophies and 500k gold. In my opinion.
Yes, that’s what I figured. But we need to step it up slowly, at least until ALL members have leveled kingdoms. After that, we need to make sure that we only invite players with lvled kingdoms already. It is a pretty standard req for guilds this high up the ladder.
Yep, small steps towards that is the right way to go.
Oh, no, we’re gonna become the guild I just left!
Silly mako, you reach 200 trophies anyway xD
But if this will calm your mind, we are going to increase trophies req to 200 only in case it gets 20+ votes. With your vote counting negatively it needs 22 others to vote for it.
As for seals and gold 15 votes will be enough
@MakoSipper Didn’t that guild req 300 trophies/week? Thats a BIG difference and one I know I could not do on the regular either. I think when we eventually hit: 1500 seals, 500k, and 200 trophies
It will be a very nice balance between being the hard-casual guild that MM is and always will be, while ALSO setting reqs that better represent our quality of play as a guild. And don’t forget that MM guild leadership will ALWAYS take into consideration personal handicaps as they arise. I know that is something that is missing from the ELITE guilds. You drop production a week, you are gone.
@DonBoba doesn’t play by those rules.
WHAT IF we make some sort of system in which people decide how to contribute? An idea:
Minimum:
Wait… “Guild Points”? An example would be:
Setups that would work:
Of course, it’s not fine-tuned, but I like it as an idea, and I’d volunteer to keep track of it. EDIT: Probably really unbalanced. It looks hard to achieve.
Anyway, that’s an idea.
