While us people that are saying that you’re wrong have soooo much to hide man… all this free in game resources the devs give us just because we write positive stuff wink wink
Ahaha yeah they do give a lot, you might aswell give them a parent for how kind hearted they are…Bahh I have enough of you people for a month at least.
I mean the changes suck and all but asking for a refund for money already spent is goofy. Games in the modern age update all the time, characters get nerfed, maps get added, weapons tweaked, etc.
This is viewed across the board as a positive thing. While I may not agree with it and prefer a finished game to be shipped, we live in the push it out, patch it later era. This being a free game, it is destined to have update after update, good or not.
You should have known that before spending money if you knew anything about gaming. If this is your first game, don’t quit, they don’t all suck… but no refunds for stuff like this.
i wish that using analogies was against forum rules…
I look at it this way.
There is literally a number of seconds I will live, and it only counts down. Every second I spend can’t be returned.
I also have a list of games I’d like to play, movies I’d like to watch, books I’d like to read, and programs I’d like to write that is longer than that number. Catching up on my 2015-2017 games backlog alone would require 5 years. I do not want for entertainment.
Nor do you. Here’s a question I point inward every now and then, and it saves me a lot of anger.
“Why are you choosing to spend your time on something you do not like?”
If you truly feel you have been legally wronged, the path to satisfaction involves a lawyer. If you cannot be bothered to take that step, then you don’t really care to reach a resolution and should find something more important to occupy your time. Winning a refund in this situation could be a landmark case that helps a lot of other people.
But my suspicion is you are angry and bored, and need the rush of happy hormones “getting someone” brings. The thing is, when you “get someone” you take happiness from them. Unhappy people try to steal it from others. Usually they try to get it back from you. Then you are unhappy again and feel like you have to get the last word. This cycle always leaves someone unhappy, even when someone finally quits there is less happiness than there was before.
So. Instead. Think about something you like. Find someone else who likes that. Talk to that person about the thing you like. It may have to involve leaving GoW to get there. This is fine. You can find other things in your life to fill the void it is filling.
Explode was awesome IMO. If you decide to keep explode nerfed, could we at least get firebomb to work as it did solely for farming purposes? I don’t think that would be too much to ask for and would help everyone out greatly. @Saltypatra @Cyrup
I’ve been having a faily great day, but this line made it priceless! Thank you!
I am agreeing with the title of this thread, but not with the rest of it (refund, really?).
Exploders were my go-to troops in the game, both because they needed the least work from my horrible eyesight (not much looking around for 4-matches before using a spell) and also because they made battles fast. And I like my stuff being done quickly because I have limited time.
Now exploders are baseline useless, giving the enemy a huge advantage while not giving me enough Mana to be worth the risk. So I am forced to use troops that make everything a million times slower. Don’t get me wrong - Diviner/Infernus/Ubastet/Mercy was always a ton more reliable than Deep Borer/Ragnagord/Infernus/Highforge, simply because explosions cause you to lose. But I like my matches fast and non-eye-straining and now that option has been removed from me and so I am enjoying the game a great deal less than I did before. And that’s it.
I had actually just bought the Divine Protector weapon last week with five bucks because I felt with all the pet rescues and Snow Bunnies and War Corgis being fun, the devs deserved a bit more of my money. But yeah, now I regret that again because I see myself playing less now - simply because I am now forced to play slower and in a style I don’t enjoy as much anymore.
Pfft…nerd.
Coming to this late…
I disagree. Silly thread and naive point of view, if you ask me. Balance changes happen. Mostly with a net positive impact on the game. Exploders had it coming, they were getting out of hand.
To address the (very much valid) concern put by @Gouki: Agree that this adversely effects too many other weaker troops… I think the global explode nerf is okay, but would be better if those other troops got a buff to compensate. As you say, Coral Golem and Goblin Rocket weren’t dominating the game and removing its last vestiges of skill…
You had to mention Goblin Rocket huh? My second most favorite troop since you recommended it literally years back…i was able to phase out it was hit by this nerf, now i am sad…
I feel the same way as OP. Exploders were the most fun part of the game for me. That’s the playstyle I enjoy. This nerf makes my explore grinding slow down, which pisses me off. Everybody who’s already got Dawnbringer or prefers converters thinks it’s great. How would you feel if they nerfed converters across the board like this?
I use an explode team. I can’t tell any difference. Troops are still filling and I’m still winning. OP needs to go have a lie down till he calms down.
Sheba, you should have this group:
Princess Elsp
Bombot
Black/manacles (mech hero)
Trog (kill to make browns)
fast in explore, good in casual pvp… etc.
Ps. I used DP/Inf/Uba/Ishb in a pet event, I didn’t find it too slow.
Go hug a bunny for me though, and I hope it makes you smile.
Don’t worry. There is a new meta in town. You’re going to be wishing for these old “problems” back.
I get the nerf, I do. We had OP divine teams and the best counters were exploders. Give them both a nerf and all should be balanced, right? …Wrong…These two kept a greater evil at bay. If you can’t win in your first 4 turns as you used to do with divines and exploders you will be stuck in an endless hell of a match that you cannot win.
I’m not going to say what this new meta is as it will destroy the game as it becomes mainstream, but the devs are about to get those longer more challenging battles they’ve been looking for.
Thanks for the tips, but I don’t like using Elspeth for the randomness. I prefer explore in a way that I can completely shut down my brain and play with muscle memory instead of having to consider strategies and paying attention.
And I don’t use Ishbaala or the hero for… personal reasons.
Will hug all the bunnies, though (except I don’t own any, but if I would, I would hug them all!) and it totally would make me smile. Bunnies make everything awesome!
I do have a bunny and as much as awesome they are they will munch on anything! He destroyed 2 pairs of shoes and pretty much any cable he can find lol because he’s free in the house, I can’t lock him.
You should be happy to sacrifice everything you own to make your bunny happy! Including your soul if he demands it!
Lol trust me,I do
Jesus christ, an “ultimatum” No one is that stupid. It’s just stating face I LOATHE the nerf and will no longer support this game in any way. what they did was NOT a balancing issue…Just f@cking something else up without putting the community in mind.
