That is a pretty cool idea! Perhaps a banner with +20% starting armor, or +15% starting life, or all troops start with a Barrier…

With all these colour discussions I was suddenly thinking why troops can’t have three colours for their mana. Since there really isn’t any reason, I expect three-colour troops in the near future.
(where the 2 colors can be the same, making it a double mono color), there are 6! = 6+5+4+3+2+1 = 21 combinations of 2 colors to cover all color combinations.
LOL, 6! is the number of permutations from 6 elements, and it is 654321 = 720.
the nunber of 2-color combinations is (6 over 2) = 65/2/1 = 15, and + 6 for the dupe colors, making really the 21 total.
Yes @pasa is right… 21 comes from 6C1 plus 6C2… 6 factorial (6!) is 720… However you can deduce 21 from 6+5+4+3+2+1 if you look at the pairings (including double colours) as being the area on/above the lead diagonal in a matrix with colours on each axis…

I guess my Math is a little bit rusty but I came up with the 6+5+4+3+2+1 the way @Jainus mentionned, using simple logic instead of formulas (I’m not good at memorizing formulas when they are not properly explained to me…)
Then I mistakenly named that 6! as I thought

While it actually is, as you pointed out,
x! = x * (x-1) * … * 1

My husband had an interesting idea when I mentioned you all were pretty certain the great maw would do a devour.
Devour 100% and replace my spell by the spell of the devoured creature.
That automatically means you can’t use it twice…

Every Great Maw on the team self destructs when one uses his skill! That is why you can only use it once.
Sadly there would be players who would love to use that ability on a defensive team.

That’s highly unlikely, since we’re pretty sure the ability is Devour (which buffs your troop with the enemy stats, rather than just killing the enemy), and self destructing would just make the devouring pointless. That would also make it one of the worst spells in the game.
You guys are forgetting that you can only use the spell once no matter how many of the great made are on your team.
It’s really difficult to say nothing when you know exactly what the spell will be.
(Which is why I brought up the 3rd trait, because that hasn’t been spoiled for me yet.)
