I don’t know when the actual fix was made, but the post was edited at 11:10 AM mountain time, which is, I don’t know, 3:10AM in Eastern Australia? I know when I’m working for 19 hours, I’m not at my best.
Hopefully a post is coming that will explain the edit, but I can understand why it wouldn’t have been top of mind to wade into this thread at that point, especially if it was one of the faceless devs that was there working. Probably need to chat with the big guy before going public with that kind of thing, even if they did fix the code side.
It’s a free-to-play match-3 game. This is not life or death.
I am a VERY fast reader/writer hence all the mistakes and short posts. But I missed Sirrians new post was the gist of the new info he wrote? or are you referring the a ninja edit?
If you’re not at your best, and can’t do your job properly, should you really be working? If you can’t make a simple post, what could you be doing to the code. As for needing to “check with the big guy”, I’d assume they’d need to do that to edit the post, and adding a simple “OP has been corrected” would have been quick and sufficient. Also, not sure why “life or death” is a criteria for expecting professionals to act professionally. I’ll wait for more info, but the hypothetical reasons you’re giving are all poor and unacceptable excuses In my opinion, sorry.
Why all this panic and haste? The devs has said that adjustment(s) will come if necessary. Can’t we just enjoy the new GW for at least a week and explore it, before panicking?
I’m totally against all these new rules that are RNG-based. I just don’t understand how devs can believe that players could be happy with this feature.
But let’s say I’m happy with it… is it possibe to know the number of actions, mana collected, damage dealt during or at the end of the battles? Because honestly, I don’t believe that there is no bug with these rules and so on, with a display of these parameters, players can check if the rules are really bugged or not.
Yeah, I know it will require an update and so on, second question: why devs didn’t wait for an update so both invade and defense team building are modified? Once again the invade teams are more constrained but nothing about the defense ones…
Dude - what the hell?! He’s unprofessional because he corrected a post and didn’t bother to let us know? He couldn’t possibly be up in the wee hours of the morning working to try to satisfy all the over-critical griping or anything. Of all the nitpicky, low priority, minor details one could choose to criticize this has got to be the most stupid one yet in this thread…
Honestly, yeah, while it may sound “nitpicky” to you, this is actually the most bothersome thing to me so far. There have been changes that some don’t like, and there have been decisions about not sharing information with us that some have disagreed with. But this is the first time something has felt “sneaky” to me. And it is a fairly significant change, for those of us who actually have been looking at the data and trying to analyze how things are working, and I wouldn’t have even known it was updated if somebody hadn’t pointed it out hours later.
With that said, my post that you quoted was simply replying to @Stan’s hypothetical reasons. I’m sure the devs have a much better one, and I’ll continue to wait for them to return (it’s still early there).
