Will be interested to see if Daily Deals offer anyone troops from the Kingdom Pass, since presumably a lot of people are currently blocked at Power Level 3…
I honestly do not expect this to be possible because the offers depend so sensitively on the personalized tasks you have. People may be able to draw conclusions for the rates of various offers in the first and third daily offers, but there are simply too many variables to control with the second (personalized) offer and arena offers.
I can say, somewhat conclusively, at least the following:
The nonsense offers, such as being offered more copies of non-medaled troops when you are tasked to raise elite levels or one event key where you are tasked to raise kingdom levels (that need deeds) are still in the offers pool.
Some percentage of the “kingdom power track” (middle slot) offers are randomly replaced, at even early levels of progression, with medals or deeds offers.
Offers that appear in slot 2, whether they force-replace a kingdom track offer or are there because you have few or available kingdom track offers; seemingly including arena offers that would have generated an offer that would have appeared in slot 2, are either overwhelmingly, or always, a medals or deeds offer
There is zero evidence that the medals or deeds offers are “personalized” or targeted in any way
The combination of this means instead of fixing their almost working targeted offers system, they instead opted to make it randomly not give targeted offers and instead give offers for things “most people want”. Rather than, you know, using the non-targeted offer slot for that.
3 is good. 4 is neutral… if thats the only form medals or deeds will ever come in, so be it, just don’t target them. But 1 & 2 are bad. 2 is new from 5.7+ and is a new bad and are so much worse to the people in the pet-starved phase of progression, where the breadcrumbs from pet offers at least gave the illusion of progress, and are now cut even further. But I think collectively people have sort of stopped caring that the system is placing random offers over targeted offers because the change still kind of gets them closer to where they want to be slightly faster and/or are maybe too scared to ask that it work properly that they’ll do something to (3) while not addressing 1 (again) and or making 1 or 2 worse. Or maybe people just don’t notice until they get that event key or troop offer.
From this thread we have also confirmed the existence of an the linked offer for “trait x troops” task, which is actually an offer that makes sense (it offers you a missing troop from the eligible troops pool, and this is not an eligible task if no eligible troops are missing).
I don’t think we’ll ever reach the point where we know specific percentages for everyone, especially not with just 3 people tracking it, but the thing I was curious at for this point is to what degree your overall progression influenced the chance of getting an off-track offer in the middle slot when you still have more than 1 on-track offer left in the pool. Other than that, there doesn’t seem to be any significant difference between my just my 4 accounts in terms of off-track offers with vastly varying differences in progression, but the people with (briefly) one or two kingdom track offers left seem to get off track offers more than any of mine, and as I understand it, were getting off track offers in the middle slot occasionally even if they weren’t “done” with every single kingdom offer even prepatch (whereas prior to 5.7 NONE of my accounts had ever received an off-track offer in the middle slot).
I think since it’s the dawning of a new week this is as good a time as any to rest the case — we know all we came to confirm (and more, I’d dare say), and to glean more we’d need a lot more data (and the ability to parse based on uncollected information, like kingdom progression).
We can always pick it up again in the future if the need arises.
