With all this lag you might as well extend gnome event an extra day!

To be fair, that would be damn fair.

Yeah totally agree. And Monday is Valentine you know.

Why just one day? The imp idea is annoying on valentines day. Deafs (Devs) like to ruin the game every important occasion. Christmas season was full of bugs and lies.

We do be lucky if the devs decide to give us 1 extra day, I would say. However I would not complain if we got more. Of course fearing that we won’t get any extra days at all.

It actually doesn’t influence the gnome spawn rate (back then at least).

Yeah, the battlecrashers aren’t supposed to affect the gnomes.

The lag on entering/finishing battles though: yeah, oof, has been really bad all weekend.

How does one explain “the lack of gnomes”? RNG and confirmation bias. There are plenty of people reporting Gnome appearances at rates that are “normal” in light of previous Vault events; some people just may not be particularly lucky when it comes to Gnomes appearing for them.

Saying “I’m not seeing the gnomes” is a testimonial and maybe a single data point if you can back it up with some harder evidence such as how many Gnomes you’ve encountered and how many appropriate battles you’ve fought. Several people saying “I’m not seeing the gnomes” is still a bunch of testimonials and not hard evidence.

The appearance rate might have changed. But we need enough data to support that allegation; otherwise, it may as well be sour grapes from people who have an expectation of a greater appearance rate.

Vault event could be everyday now, and it wouldn’t make a bit of difference in the chances and percentages. During normal days too, I could play just a few battles to find a gnome to complete that campaign task where I have to kill a gnome.

You and others, I suppose, are ready to present a whole load of numbers to support your claim right now this very moment? In fact, you actually had them included in your post already but the forum glitched and made those numbers disappear, right?

This “battlecrashers take away my gnomes” mantra has been present every time both events clash and - needless to say - nobody has ever put forward a single piece of data when asked to do so.
I’ve tracked enough in the past to see for myself and trust the devs on this particular matter and not continue tracking for the time being. Last few days, however, looked and felt pretty much like every other vault weekend, nothing out of the ordinary that would make me regret - dang it, I should’ve written down those numbers because I’m being bamboozled.

I’m no Dev supporter.

I’ve been tracking data since Cursed Gnomes were released to get a feel of the ‘boosted’ rates.

If Battlecrashers prevented gnomes, I’d have less right?

I have had my best gnome appearance this weekend, albeit not played as much.

All games are E1.

The boost to cursed gnomes at Xmas was such that I got 1:67 battles. This weekend 1:435.

I agree they are a pain.

What is more of a pain is the lag. Devs should not be waiting until patch without something, it’s a fab excuse they have, but it should be properly and permanently addressed. Once patched Devs should raise explore gold modifiers by about 10% to compensate properly.

Another fix would be to release a pet that stacks with the likes of Lucky, and the other pets that give gold, xp and soul modifiers, giving a similar bonus to compensate for the ridiculous checking of the soulforge as has been pointed out. That would compensate for all the lost resources over time.

2842 Trophies & 5 gaps used. Not a single cursed gnome :sob:

6 gaps, 8 cursed gnomes.
RNG gonna RNG.

Normally throughout previous events multiple cg could be found (if lucky) during a gap while vault event was active. Also applies for multiple gap I played outside of vault event.

And during this “event of lag and souls”:
Since I don’t know the correct number, it was around 800-1000 explore1 matches.
No cg found outside of gap runs.
And three gap runs also without cursed gnome appaerances.

rng nais nais? I stand by my point and suspect forced reduction of the droprate for all. and some lucky gooses actually had rng luck…

Sometimes you get a lucky streak of gnomes, sometimes you get a draught for a while.
If you’d log all your numbers and compare over a longer time, you’d see the rates settle, as has been shown by the various people who do log their battles.
Until then, it’s just confirmation bias & “woe is me”.

Incidentally, most (if not all) of the people who complain about spawn rates of chaos gnomes or battlecrasher vs gnomes (or any other similar things in games in general) never post actual data, just anecdotal biased convenient gut feeling numbers. Because it fits their narrative.

Yep, last gnome event I got 11 Cursed Gnome with half the playtime

The crasher ruin the event in the sense that it has an extra hp at times you need more time to kill it. So I hate it. No need for data as everyone can experience it. Hence, less verse for me. So Fffff the crasher on gnome event.

Guess what?
Not everybody has 2+ hawks, so they can’t turbo-oneshot explore 1s.

Whining about not being able to non-stop turbo-oneshot e1s because of a crasher doesn’t win any sympathy. There are lots of others out there that have to settle for normal slower runs. It’s called making the best out of the situation.

I am not looking for your sympathy though. Hoping for Deafs (Devs) to hear me. But u seems like here to pick a fight.

We have done a lot of hardwork to get the troops we need for each type of scenarios. Why will I should be compared to poor newbie like you like I was before?

Oh nice. Responding with (more) insults now.
