You get 5 VIP points per $1, always, no exceptions (there’s one exception actually, but it’s extremely rare and has to do with Steam discounts and the Steam pet and you can only do it once).
But yes, it’s completely arbitrary that Verse 4 “costs” more than Verse 2 and 3. They just went straight down the line. It would look kind of weird if Verse 4 was the first option and Verse 3 was second, etc. And they always increase the gem amounts in higher tiers, which means higher cost.
Here are my verses now:
If you look at it and say “See, verse 1 and 3 are more rare than 2 and 4,” then go look at other people’s pictures where they have substantially more of 1 and 3 than others. It’s just random.

I wish I farmed more so I wouldn’t have to spend 100 on 6 of each verse.

my rarest is verse 4

I think it’s too late to add it now, the drop rates might also be different for each system.
