Not that you listen to us, but its beyond time to let us trade verses

I have 13, 7, 6 of the other verses ZERO verse 1s

Let us trade verses for missing ones because in my experience it seems that the game chooses 1 verse to not give you

Could be worse, I just got 1 verse 3…

13-7-6-0 does sound bad. But there’s a piece of context I suspect is missing from your complaint, which is to ask how many Gnome-a-Palooza’s you’ve crafted in all your time playing Gems of War. Because you’ve spent verses to do that, and those verses had to come from somewhere other than the Holiday Verse Fairy.

Have you spent 10 GaPs, in which case it’s 23-17-16-10? Which is still bad, but not as egregious as you’ve made it sound?

Have you spent 50 GaPs, in which case it would be 63-57-56-50? Which, while not even, is a rationally level distribution of verses and not an extreme outlier?

Have you spent 250 GaPs, in which caes it would be 263-257-256-250? Which would be just a small wobble from completely even distribution?

…

If you want a mechanism by which you can trade verses, you would have to expect that formula to be something costly. There’s not much benefit to the devs if you could trade 1-for-1, even 1-for-1 with a “cost” of some not-excruciating amount of another resource of which you likely have a huge amount. (For example, 1-for-1 but costing you 10 or 100 treasure maps wouldn’t faze very many people.)

Or have them put into the soul forge. This should have been done ages ago but like you said the devs do not litsen to feedback. Just push pass after pass on to you instead

Let’s be honest. The soulforge needs an update drastically. (It probably would need several revisions and would have to be updated with new resources and other things, but it would require too much work to keep up-to-date).

The main reason that quality of life improvements like being able to craft verses, are not being added to the game is because they haven’t found a way to monetize it. Imo, you should be able to craft any verse if you have the other 3, along with 500 souls for each verse that you want. (For example, you have verse 1,2 and 4, you can craft a verse 3 with 50 brown jewels). I would associate the verse gnomes with their mana colors (50 blue jewels for verse 1, 50 purple jewels for verse 2, 50 brown jewels for verse 3, and 50 red jewels for verse 4).

With guild wars and the bastion update on the way, I just don’t know how they’re going to find time to make improvements like this. Gems of War has just become too complicated and demanding…

I get what you’re saying and you’re not wrong in the sense that the RNG is basically working. But the point you seem to be dodging is that mechanics like this aren’t fun. And it’s a game (that many of us pay for) so it’s supposed to be more fun than annoying.

It’s insane that years later there still isn’t some mechanism to balance things out, whether it’s a weekly craft of one gnome of choice in the soulforge or a 5th gnome that occasionally appears which lets you choose which verse/prize you want…it’s an annoyance they could easily solve if they wanted to. And I really think they should want to stop annoying us with petty little things like this, because petty annoyances do add up. And they’ve been peppering us with an awful lot of petty annoyances of late.

We are on the same boat…

See like i said. Seems the game chooses a verse to starve everyone of

Looking at the positive side, we only need to hunt one gnome, not all four of them.

Personally, and I know it will never be a reality, I would love to see a guild trading shop. Where guild members could trade or give items to their members beyond ‘guild gifts’. Could help lower level members get a boost to play events. What’s the purpose of a guild if you don’t have teamwork? I’m a grinder, but lousy at high level GWs battles. Having the above option would allow for diversity of play styles.

I spent the past year building my verses to avoid the problem of not having enough to do a fun palooza run. All verses are now at 99+ and I can generally run 10 paloozas a day during the event. I get back the verses by playing between paloozas. If one verse is shy this event (Cindy this time) I can make it up in a future event.

I agree, since the palooza started I never got enough verse 3, it’s very frustrating. Another player in our guild got a lot of them but no verses 2, I would gladly trade with her.

Excellent post. That’s my photo:

This need to be fixed asap.

Cheers!
