Tuesday Delve Valraven reduction

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been doing delves on Tuesday, and at the very minimum, I can make it to level 80, sometimes being just shy (hundreds or even just tens of points) of the Stage 8 rewards.

But last week and this week (and possibly the week before last week, but I don’t remember), something has changed: I can’t get past level 60, because when I reach level 70, I have no more sigils left, as no raven has spawned in any of the rooms on level 60.

Again, I’ve been doing delves every tuesday for as long as they’ve been around, and this is the first time (well, second now) that I’ve been unable to reach level 80 without purchasing any Tiers from shop.

So now players need to spend 30 gems in order to get at least 1 sigil (to do level 70, and I assume a valraven will drop there) and collect Stage 7 and Stage 8 rewards. 30 gems will get you 50 chaos shards, 10k gold, 2 mythic ingots, and a chaos orb from the stage rewards. That used to be free, almost every time (occasionally if you did the room multiplier order wrong, you couldn’t collect enough points to finish stage 8).

All Seeing Eye (last week)
Hall of Guardians (this week)

The two Factions first released… So happens that back then Tier 1 was required to get all the FA rewards… So your complaint is actually a compliment to changes the devs made over time.

They can’t modify those delves to change the frequency of ravens? Oh well! Good change I guess

I haven’t put a lot of thought into it.
But I think it’s due to the amount of rooms in the delve or the availability of “rarity” of delve rooms. So it’s really not a matter of frequency but the ability to score more points in other Delves.

But no I personally don’t believe they should go back and spend a lot of time or resources redesigning these ancient delves to save some folks 30 gems when I personally feel like thats a decent buy in for the rewards given from 24 hour FA. :person_shrugging:

it happens from time to time… quite rare - same as getting extra raven on level 80…

I agree it’s a pretty solid buy – although if I buy Tier 1 I always buy Tier 2 for the Explode. The Explode adds to speed significantly, especially with a 50% mana start team.

That’s your personal choice.
I’m still in the minority that believes Tier 2 is purely a visual buff is most cases due to the little mana explosions actually cause. Unless, other factors are included like storms increasing the likelihood of cascades.
Tier 1 and automatic Enchant… definitely speeds things up.
Because you do Tier 1 and 2 always as a packaged pair. You probably credit tier 2 for what Tier 1 would be enough for.

All Seeing Eye suffers on the first point. Only 8 rooms. That could explain why less ravens last week.
Hall of Guardians suffers on the second point. Two level II rooms & 0 level V rooms make for a terrible multiplier.

I always go Tier 2 minimum (lv 120). Imho the rewards and speed increase are worth it. Sometimes on xbox Tier 3 (lv160) is enough to get you on the leaderboard in which case I will buy that for return of 75 gems and orb not bad value.

Valraven spawn within a fixed range of fights. I’m not sure about the exact range, for delve the first one is roughly between [1 - 15] fights and the second one roughly between [20 - 50] fights. If you do all battles, level 60 is 45 fights (40 fights for All-Seeing Eye), so there’s always a small chance your run ends there unless you buy shop tiers. This also works the other way around, the third Valraven seems to have a lower bound around 60 fights, so you can sometimes reach level 100 without buying shop tiers if you get lucky enough.

Ravens since last August (T1 always bought, all rooms done)
