[TECH ISSUE] Game registering touch under Steam overlay

Platform, device version and operating system: Steam, Surface Pro 7, game version 5.1.0r23377, Windows 10

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened: I bought 2 flash offers and while I was using the Steam overlay to add funds to my account, the game screen underneath continued to register touch input. I lost 30 gems opening 2 event chests while unable to see the game screen.

Is that how the overlay is supposed to work? Goes without saying I needed those gems .

This sounds more like an issue with the steam overlay then the actual game.

Either way, it definitely isn’t normal, then? That’s what I really wanna know.

This is an issue with the Steam overlay from the looks of it.

I rather believe it is an issue with Gems of War, it sometimes starts processing input while running in the background. The issue has been known for years, see also this bug report.
