I don’t know if I really want to wade in here, but using a damage sponge like Gorgotha against this team works. I use Gorgotha, Emperina up front (with any number of combinations for the last 2 slots), bait manticore into stunning one or both of my last two troops, and then proceed to charge. Emperina heals and cleanses, and boosts attack, so my Gorgotha just keeps getting stronger. It’s a slow fight but I don’t think I’ve ever lost to the MMDBBD team.
That said, I get that it is a frustrating team, and wouldn’t mind seeing Manticore nerfed.
Great post, i agree on everything (not that it matters) except the boost Ratio on Bone Dragon.
Bone Dragon is a problem regardless of what ratio you put on his spell, he was a problem ever since i started playing this game and never really stopped being one. The 3:1 ratio change didn’t change anything about it, and a 4:1 Ratio won’t do that either with current armor values.
And even a 5:1 or 6:1 ratio will just be a lacking bandaid until whatever next update increases armor values once more.
The way his spell scales needs to be reworked entirely, or he will stay a brainless fire-when-ready-regardless-of-circumstances-to-kill-one-or-more-troop-everytime troop, involving no thoughtprocess.
Throwing in my $0.02, though it might not be worth that.
Manticore, Bone Dragon, and Famine are the ONLY troops I even have to care about on defense. I might lose 1 game in 50 against them. Almost every single other defense might as well be 4 blank troops. Is that the game you all want to play?
I’m down for whatever adds some variety to PvP invades, but I don’t want “variety” to mean “I don’t even have to pay attention.”
That was mentioned as an idea that when you do revenge battles you don’t fight attacker defending team but rather the team he used to attack your defending team.
But that was way back when we had revenge panel. Now we just get +3 glory as one of the options (and they are considered revenge battles).
You made all of the points I was going to say, but in a much meaner way.
I liked your post for its message about manticore but you should consider being less combative. Typically when you attack people it makes them defensive and then there can be no discussion… it turns into little more than an argument. You have solid points that were demeaned by your derogatory statements.
It blows my mind that people don’t see that this troop is overpowered compared to any other card. It does too much and on top of it is unenjoyable to go against. Let’s not forget this is a game and is supposed to be a pleasant time.
But, back on point, next few weeks seem great. For the first time I will be trying out a beast team most likely with that new legendary added.
And with setting my defense to something cheesy I can finally enjoy the game again and try out different things. It’s quite sad that I have to resort to that… we should be trying to make our defense as strong as possible. But, whatever. At least it’s a temporary solution
