so 12 days aren’t enough to fix a “top priority”, apparently.
maybe some additional “poking” can work magic?
when can we expect results?

Based on what others are saying here, I’d assume IF it works the way you think, then what is happening is as follows:
you are assigned to one bracket on your display, which you compete in and can see how you compare to others in that bracket
you are also assigned to many other brackets, which you can’t see, and how you compete in your bracket directly affects your score and position in the other brackets
at weekly reset the computer checks all brackets and finds your HIGHEST position in any bracket, to determine what rewards to grant you and whether to move up or down a league
you receive rewards and move accordingly
This makes sense, because you might be performing slightly better in another league and get better rewards, but you did earn those rewards. You just couldn’t see yourself doing so.
Whereas if the computer took an average or worse, the lowest position, then you might see yourself earning certain rewards but then get less. And that would annoy players a lot more. Especially since there’s no way to find out if this is going to happen or not.
But this might not be what’s happening. It’s hard to tell for sure. Hopefully they find a way to move players into just one bracket and not multiple, to see if that fixes this.
So let’s throw this out global PvP number 1 wins his bracket and gets the rewards for global 1 and bracket 1. However, as they will also be number 1 in every other bracket they are in the deny everyone else the wins in their bracket. Fair?
1st week: 3rd, but got rewards for 1st. I thought they just messed up the message.
2nd week: 5th, but got rewards for 3rd. I thought they messed up the brackets.
3rd week: 9th(?) but got rewards for 2nd. Was promoted to Diamond unexpectedly.
Consider, though, that it must work this way if every person is to ‘compete’ against 29 oether people. Otherwise, if there happen to be a number of people in any league which isn’t divisible by 30, some people will be in smaller divisions, which actually is not fair as it would probably be easier to win with fewer players.
Let’s imagine that there are 290 people in the top league, including the eventual global leaderboard champion. Each of these people sees 29 other people in their personal bracket. There is a 1 in 10 chance that each of them seeins the global leaderboard #1 in their bracket (29/290), so we should expect that 29 people will have the global #1 in their bracket, and will have no chance to gain the top rewards.
This works out, I think, on average. If there are more people, the chance of the global #1 being in any given persons bracket is lowered, so he or she will still only deny 29 people (on average) any chance of the top reward. That is exactly what would happen if we were all grouped into ladders where we had 100% mutually shared the same group of opponents to compete against. So I don’t see this situation as a problem.
The problem is that the relegation, promotion, and rewards don’t work – for whatever reason – based on your standing relative to the people you are told you are competing against.
Let’s ignore for a second that the entire reward structure is broken out of the box, due to forcing people to NOT play the game in order to get relegated and therefore able to get the higher rewards…
But if the leagues are working as intended with, as some have suggested, an amalgamated league structure… then what’s the point of the whole league placing screen!? It’s entirely redundant as it will never be accurate, and the resources would have been better spent fixing any of the other myriad of bugs that multiply on a weekly basis.
It’s worse than that. You HAVE to play in order for relegation to move you down a league, but your score has to stay low enough for you to be in the relegation zone in your league AND in any other leagues you are in, apparently, which you can’t see.
Given how unreliable it is, it’s almost always going to be better to just play a bunch and collect the goals rewards, which give gold and silver marks. Rather than trying to get relegated and getting nothing in the hope of getting more in the future but with no way to be sure if you will.
My guess is there aren’t enough players in high leagues, until the leagues settle down, everyone is getting promoted or staying to fill the upper ranks.
Weeks later, and still no sign of this being fixed… what a surprise!
I should have been relegated for the last 4 weeks running, yet am stuck in Diamond league.
I’m running out of game modes that I want to play, and judging by the scores in my PvP league… so are a lot of other people.
You should have an option to relegate yourself, regardless of points. At any point during the week, you can select an option and you’ll be moved down to the relegation zone, and be unable to undo it. No matter how many points you get, you’ll stay in that zone, and won’t be eligible to be promoted or gain top 3 rewards.
Crucially, if you do this, you also get removed from the global leaderboard, with no chance to gain any of those rewards.
Sure, you might get players dropping down a league in order to win at lower leagues, but they’ll be competing for a lot less rewards than at higher leagues, and any players going for top 3 in a league, or leaderboard rewards, won’t want to drop down anyway.
Funny thing is, that people in my guild family had multiple weeks with around 40k pvp even ensuring they place #1 in their diamond league because of inactivities.
Meanwhile since mutliple weeks I’m stuck in diamond league, also trying to rank down. Had multiple weeks placing #30 or at least in relegation zone and no goal of rankdown was achieved.
Also the other way around isn’t working. I had one “active” week with 140k pvp, placed #2 in my league and also (only) got rewards for placing #2 - which would be fine, if not at the same time I saw players of my guild family getting #1 rewards while having placed #17 or so with under 40k pvp.
broken system all the way. devs hiding. as always.
Does anyone have any evidence of any relegation? I’m wondering if maybe relegation was never implemented.
2 weeks ago did get rewards for 2nd in bracket when I was 6th.
