Does your hero have to be in team for let bonus to apply please?
All pet bonuses are always active. You don’t need hero in your team or any specific pet equipped on it’s shoulder.

not necessary, if he fits your team and counts as the right type to get the team bonuses you can boost him to have pretty high stats though if your pets are at high lvl
