You lose damage points from any death on your team. Even if you finish with 4.
Well, watching the AI use dopple on x2 speed, I did not see any dmg when it casts it’s spell. It just copied a troop with no minus anything. It may be that since it was damaged & copied a troop with higher stats, that there was no dmg incurred. Which means it can be used safely if the troop it is copying has higher stats than it has when it casts the spell.
In addition: Doppleganger did not trigger Lust’s 3rd trait, nor did it increase the kill count in the battle stats screen.
Nada with Gargantaur either: if anyone knows whether e.g. starting with a Nosferatu in a Delve and ending with Umberwolf results in a ‘no casualties’ run, the picture would be clearer.
As it stands (assuming the Doppleganger reports are accurate), the definition of ‘casualties’ would appear inaccurate
You are a brave man to dopplegang Gargantaur
No casuaties means ending the delve with exactly 4 troops you start with. You can die, resummon, transform whaterver you want in between, as long as the 4 troops match, it counts as deathless win. It also means nosferatu transforming to umberwolf without transforming back doesnt count
Its logic is different from death count during battles
This is one of the most awful, slowest pure faction teams I’ve ever played. at 310 pure faction took me nearly 15 minutes to finish the boss room. I wasn’t in any danger of losing, but it was horribly slow.
All I can say is thank God the summons get weaker every time. I wish the damn Harpy’s did the same.
They are supposed to. It’s bugged if it’s not.
I believe the 5% summons are full strength, while if the Legendary summons a Harpy Mage she is weaker.
With this delve, and city of thieves, I’ve confirmed in my mind: The devs do not test 500 faction delve internally. Each one of these fights lasted 15+ minutes because once you get down to the copycat, she just loops herself forever. You have to have a string of luck to miss the 99.9% chance to duplicate yourself.
Again, I am asking, why I hate myself so much :), but it’s done. I had Ice Coven as middle room. Wanted Winter wolf, but mine died before I could have done more copies. So I went with 2x Ice witch. It was slow, but doable. I was lucky with copying.
Tier VII x4 + hoard 100
I got Venoxia a couple times, which was nice to safely defuse all the Reflects. Arguably the most dangerous troop to grab in there is Ysabelle, since multiples of her stack amazingly well, but picking a fight with that Chessboard room is very hard.
Lol, I ended up beating final room of pure faction at lvl 500 with a single bullette and a single glass golem. Fun times.
I quit doing the 500 pure one, so I’m sitting at 2310 reputation. Releasing three troops that do nothing is pretty stupid, while the only one that does any damage is single target! Very dumb delve team.
Pure faction runs live and die by what you get in that middle room. I can’t imagine finishing with anything from the Bulette room, or surviving long enough against Shadow-Hunter to reach the boss room. Naga Queen is amazing, and Fenrir is no less great. If you don’t get lucky with that epic room, you may as well spend the sigil and restart.
I had a Naga Queen work out somewhat but the issue is that it converts a color you really want into a color you literally can’t use … unless you get a red troop somewhere in that mix, which is what lol.
Naga Queen is really good at keeping your troops alive long enough to beat the AI with skulls or your own Mirrored Queen (that is, absorb reflected damage plus shots from the AI’s Mirrored Queen). And while you are converting away from a color you can use, you’re also denying the AI yellow to feed its Copycats, Golems, and Mirrored Queens.
That’s entirely true, fair enough.
Actually no, it doesn’t make any difference for Guild Wars scoring whether Doppelganger transforming counts as death or not. Only damage dealt and damage taken matters, not the death counter.
