Better idea. Just use Kraken. Multiple targeted devours in one game would be just busted, especially when you can loop to fill its mana in one turn, anyway…

The more I think about it, I think you should simply Unleash the Kraken (and friends):

  1. Pre-nerf Kraken Returns
  2. Pre-nerf Fizzbang returns
  3. Pre-nerf Bone Dragon Returns
  4. Seriously help Roc out. Take away the single cast restriction.

These changes would change defenses and offenses for sure. Everyone could go back to the OP meta they loved most instead of being stuck in Infernus/Ubastet land.

If this was mostly sarcastic, well then this was already typed, if not then I shall give my opinion on the matter in order:

  1. If you mean the upped devour chance and gem production, maybe to the latter back up to 9, but honestly, I think devour outside of conditional requirements like gob chomper or the gelatinous cube, devour is one of the most annoying spell (or trait) effects to just have on a spell cast. Kracken is one of the worst offenders as he can easily remove barrier first. If you mean before the glob change, then that is a different balance argument in itself.
  2. So explain to me how a troop that buffs, explodes, and guarantees an extra turn isn’t an easy win button? It got nerfed for a reason, and I think the explode with extra turn is already bad enough.
  3. So with glob changes, this could be not as bad, but with pet bonuses, new kingdoms, etc. stats will only go up and it would be even easier to create skull boards. I think most of the mang style weapons fill the void better and we even got a new troop that deals with armor. Also being a meta terror is bad enough so dungeon only there.
  4. If they lower the base damage then it could work otherwise then he may be “too op” for early players but with some tweaks, its probably fine. Honestly though, I don’t care for roc and never used him even when I had started a couple years back. Honestly I think there are a bunch more deserving of a buff, like our ogre friend.

Most of these metas have been changed for a reason. Fizzbang teams are already on the radar and I don’t think introducing worse metas back in is the best idea. In terms of meta and cancer, I’d rather this game be like deadpool, still fun, makes references, and can recover faster than the cancer killing him. Reintroducing every meta to their full power would be like turning this game into monty burns. There is so much disease, there is no room for any single one to take a solid foothold of power, but then we are one more pathogen away from total annihilation and everyone wishes this old decrepit corpse would just die.

Honestly the best fix to this meta, and most other metas, is reintroducing an AI that can, to an extent, plan. For the breif time consoles had sliders, it felt like the AI was actually competent, saving spells for better moments instead on sitting on the game to wait until they lose instead. Gem creators and exploders are better using dumb luck then a team with 3 mana converters giving the opponent no turn which the AI is well, awful with. Most meta troops that don’t get rebuffed would either have too much raw power and/or board control winning a game is a little as one move. If I wanted that, I would go into explore with sunbird. PVP should not be done in one turn every other match one way or another. It should take some thought and effort, not put one stinking troop in and hit cast each turn until all stats are maxed out.

Also, I remember the travesty of justice league, which was the replacement for the bone dragon team. Skull spam will always have a meta place, but this is far from the worst one. Justice league was a literal loss from one turn with no comeback even if you had lived. Even in the absolute worst divine teams matches, 2 troops are better than no troops. While this divine meta is not nearly as bad as a couple weeks ago, even that point was far from the worst meta I’ve seen. Currently, if it’s not fire bombs for defense assists, it’s because, in all honesty, people are ultimately lazy and just want a team that is hard for the opponent instead of experimenting. We need either a better incentive system, whether it be rewards and/or a better AI that can actually use synergistic teams properly.

Unfix black beast so it can devour opponent troops again.

My final word on this thread is as follows.

Moloch’s ability could have an additional mana burn effect. Just saying. That’d be swell.

Actually, in America you can file a small claims(under $25k) case against companies, AND in many states these large companies are not allowed o use lawyers. So, they have to send a representative to go fight the case, which ends up being more grief than its worth. So they contact the person and go through arbitration to reach a settlement. The person suing may not be right, but the cost to fight the case is often more than fighting it is worth to a company due to not being able to use the company lawyer on retainer, cost to get up o sped, travel, etc.

For example: Company A screws up your phone bill, look up the laws for small claims court in your state pertaining to use of lawyers. For about $45 you can file a suit and sue them for the error and your time in getting it corrected. Being that they probably don’t have someone versed on your issue, nor do they want to shell out money to put it all together, fly someone out, put them in a hotel, and fly them home; they will contact you to reach a settlement. If they can reach an amount that is cheaper than fighting the case, they settle.

Know your rights.

Is there a form of arbitration that involves “aggressively discussing what one is owed on a forum”?

My take on arbitration is it’s usually a good way to spend money to get screwed. You go not before a judge, but before “a representative” that is chosen by the company. I’m sure they pick an impartial third party. You travel to whatever corner of the Earth they say you have to go to, then you let the company representative listen to your plea, then they tell you to go pound sand. The decisions of arbitration are final and, by participating, you waive your right to any form of appeal or further legal action.

It’s like offering to pay them to say “no”, and it’s why entering a contract with many companies auto-enrolls you into arbitration for almost any legal claim you might have.

I think you missed the point. The cost for the company is more than the pay off to settle. Usually the company contacts the person suing directly and asks what they want to close the case, without ever dealing with a judge, the case is considered settled, submitted in agreement, and closed.

They have to show up to the court date, even if there are other contracts in play, often times this will cost the company thousands of dollars which isn’t worth it, even if they are not in the wrong. When they can pay out less than $2000 and avoid the hassle they often will.

@Zeddicus2017 Please for the love of all it is “Hear, hear!”

Not that I have an opinion or anything.
