Guild Wars Reimagined

So, to be crystal clear on this - immortals won’t be associated with keeps but we can use them on our teams as long as they meet the restrictions?

@jeto - one more bit of conflicting info

The short guide says “Attacking restrictions are either a troop type or a specific Kingdom.”

The post says, “Firstly, each Guild War has an “Attacker Restriction” in place (don’t worry – defenders also have restrictions to keep it fair). This might be Troop Color, Troop Kingdom, or Troop Type.”

So we need clarification if color will also be an attack restriction or if it will only be kingdom and type.

TIA

Immortals aren’t associated with anything in Guild Wars and yes, you can use Immortals on your team as long as they meet the restrictions

The article has also been updated - this was just old information I had yet to change.

Thanks so much!!!

Hi there! Would alliance bonuses be applied in GW battles? If opponent is not in purple alliance - will they get a +20% stats boost? I really hope it’s not, but…

No… Alliances are in no way linked to Guild Wars.

Thank you)

The only PvP and GW things that cross over are Victory Points as a battle reward and Stellarix & Wand of Stars cannot be used in defense teams for GW and will be replaced.

Nothing else crosses over, no Alliances, no stat books from Alliances etc etc.

Has a fix been found for the immortal bug yet with teams not saving? This may cause a big problem for guild wars. The last time you guys said this couldn’t be reliably duplicated but it happens to everyone every single time we use immortals on our team for 4 seasons now! An immortal can be used in its home kingdom no matter the restrictions but the team does not save and clears out every time you leave the battle screen to collect tribute or for any other reason

It’s nice to know that overpowered options (like Stellarix and wand of stars) cannot be used on defense. There are some kingdom restrictions that would make it very difficult to deal with.:scream:

There are going to be a lot of balancing issues and adjustments that need to be made, but we wouldn’t be able to test these things out without the time and effort that was put into updating Guild Wars. We need to be willing to take our first step into this new journey because we waited this long…might as well cast aside our doubts and fears and just see what happens.

Hopefully Krystara won’t spontaneously explode as we sail away on Luther’s ship…

As soon as it fits in the schedule and yes this thing that will effect guild wars is definitely going to be fixed with the next update are far from the same thing. If we put immortals on our defense teams and they get cleared out what happens, it’s like we didn’t put a defense team in at all. If I am understanding correctly if the team doesn’t save then you lose the moral boost for setting a defense and lose out on rewards as a result

Still not too late to can this and never bring guild wars back. Its been so nice without them.

Right. Probably not worth the risk until we know it’s fixed. Which is a shame because those suckers are hard to kill.

No troops need a nerf. Use your classes and medals. Duh. In GW you should be using 2 - 3 Orpheus and a freeze class. Scout before attack to make an adjustment.

Immortals should be banned. They are pay to win.

They will only be at half strength since the pvp kingdom bonus won’t apply. It will make team building interesting.

This whole game is essentially “pay to be first” which more or less equates to pay to win. It’s been that way for awhile now and it’s only headed faster in that direction. We can agree that’s a sad thing, but it is just going to be that way. FTP players get stuff eventually and the playing field is really never level. The immortals aren’t any more pay to win than the dragons, or zuul goth, or any other high powered troop that you could access more easily with more resources that you can buy with cash money if you choose. You can say that getting a mythic with every campaign pass is pay to win. That is the game.

They are pay to win because of how they are leveled. FTP can only get the 11 week immortal to 11. Going past that is crazy RNG. No one would have a level 20 FTP.

they are not really the best option to defence team, so it’s not really PTW
