What Talia said^^

Well seeing that your Roster background theme is Drifting Sands-like, and given everyone’s showing up blank for ya, the first thing that came to mind was a paraphrase of the song lyric as recorded by the group America
.

I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out. of. the rain …
In the desert, you can’t remember your name
'Cause there ain’t. no. one. for to give you no pain

.
…Seemed appropriate for the circumstances

Ah. My dad would’ve got your joke.

Haha, the only time I’ve heard that song is in my dad’s company. He likes that kind of music.

Related to the OP, evidently my game wasn’t updated on this computer but it didn’t complain it needed to be updated when I opened it…!?

I’m only 31, so age means nothing when it comes to good taste in music

I thought he said " through the desert on a horse with no legs."

That particular version is a parody, which makes me cringe. I say: if you’re going to go to the trouble of reworking somebody else’s lyrics, for your part you should at least do them the honour of learning basic rules of songwriting form and structure.

Brandmeier didn’t bother attempt to replicate the original Horse With No Name cadence, because he didn’t have a feel for it as a ballad written in both iambic trimeter and common measure. Even if he didn’t know the technical terms for what he was hearing in America’s song, he should at least have grokked the beat of its rhythm. Seriously, was he born in a barn? With horses to nay-say this tram wreck of a song? I’ll say…

Okay I’ll shut up now. It’s just that I’ve got low tolerance for bad art.

Wait i did not know there was a parody of that song, i honestly misheard him.
