Yeah it’s just a weird glitch that Salty tried to get ahead of by not going into specifics and instead just saying “you may not get the same rewards.”
It shouldn’t be an issue next week.

Just FYI speaking from a guild that has not reached LT this week (not completed all 6 original statues) I have not seen any rewards labeled from an “epic” task. I thought they were just marked complete and nothing else — were we supposed to get all the “epic” resources ?
If so, we didn’t. If not, then this “glitch” could still be related to LTs so I’d keep keeping an eye out.
