[FIXED] Double Reward from completing Epic Task Purple 11

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
Someone in the guild completed Epic Task 11 Purple which awards 1 Purple Deed, 1 Arcane Plains Traitstone, and 7 White Pet Wood. However… we received DOUBLE that reward, and it’s not just a graphical glitch. I had 8 Deeds of Magic before this, now I have 10 instead of 9.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
This is the first time I’ve ever seen this happen, and it probably has something to do with the server issues going on.

My guess is…“have two people Complete a task at the same time.”

The same player made all of these contributions. So it wasn’t two people competing for the same task. Rather, one person donated, and it either counted their donation twice… or something. Let me find out actually.

Here are the donations:

So… the 700k double donation did count toward Task 12, because 4.4 million is exactly what you need to finish Task 11, and as you can see, we are 700k into Task 12.

So yeah, it’s not a case of two people competing for donations, we just got double the rewards for completing Task 11.

I’m here with some answers!

This bug was caused by some server issues we experienced earlier in the week. The server issues occurred for 20 minutes, and meant that some guild task rewards were sent multiple times.

This affected very few guilds and players, and as such we won’t be acting further. (Outside of seeing what we can do to ensure this doesn’t happen again during unusual server issues.)
