Entangle used to stop a unit from attacking, however the way this worked reduced a unit’s attack to zero. Now with buffs and multi-skull matched have made entangle almost perfectly useless. Entangle reduces the attack on a unit to zero when it is cast and it falls off in a few turns or until the opponent matches 4 or more or gains attack. I think a rework to prevent the unit from attacking would make entangle much better as it has too many work arounds that seem to undermine the initial effect. There is no counter to devour when in trait form except entangle except it still counts as an attack and therefore leaves the unit devoured even if it did no damage.
