Double Gold from Revenge Bug

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened?
I was expecting to get a small boost in glory from a revenge battle. I also got about double gold from it.

I can see that my armor & VIP boost was applied to the rewards screen, but I’m left wondering where the other 3,830 gold came from.

What are the steps to make it happen again?
Attack someone marked as a Revenge target in Ranked PvP.
EDIT: It has happened on both iOS and Steam.

That would be nice, but it doesn’t explain why it’s only on revenge battles. Also, I’ve heard in chat that it’s only happening on Steam, so I’m waiting for another one to check for it on iOS.

EDIT: Got another one, played it on iOS. Rewards showed 1739 gold, gained 3,283 gold.

1619 x 2.35 =3804 + some golf for 4_5 gem matches
Seems fine

The amount of gold you can get from 4- or higher matches is capped per game, as far as I am aware.
And not to a 1600ish
